I disabled Norton and still had the same issues. I'm thinking maybe a windows update issue but I don't see anything in the settings that look off. I haven't tried windows safe mode yet. I'll try that later. Did you solve the problem wireman ßI haven't tried the windows safe mode yet but I'm still having issues. I looked in my installations and see that a Norton installation (update) happened on Feb 8 which seems about the time I started having issues. I think I may try uninstalling my Norton and reinstalling it.

Sounds like a plan. I am stumped. I uninstalled my Norton and that didn't fix the issue. I rebooted in safe mode and do not have the problem so this problem is on my computer somewhere. It doesn't seem to be a browser issue because I have the same problem on different browsers and it doesn't seem to be a Norton problem. So, it seems there is some security problem in the windows program (maybe).
Also, this issue is affecting my upload speed. I uploaded some video into my dropbox account the other day and it took forever. When I was in safe mode, I uploaded the same file in seconds.

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in again ?
Either it's Windows or the ethernet connection. You could try to install a new driver.
You don't use a VPN apart from Norton, right?
You can try Windows 10's Network Reset, it reinstalls all network adapters and reverts all networking elements to their default settings.

I'll try the network adapters. I haven't tried that.

I reset my network adapters and no luck but I stumbled on to a program I have that I never pay much attention to called Intel Killer. It's a program that prioritizes network traffic. I think it comes with Dell computers but I've never paid much attention to it because it seemed it was something to speed up gaming and I've always ignored it. When I was troubleshooting, I was right clicking on the arrow on the right side of the task bar and turning off the things running in the background and that was one of the things I turned off but it always restarts on a reboot and I can't seem to permanently turn it off. Anyway, I just went into settings for Killer and noticed there was a bandwith switch enabled. I turned it off and one other switch that was on in that program and drastically improved my internet speed. I still have a couple funky things going on I need to figure out but I think I solved a big one.

Right click Start, then RUN. Type in services.msc. Right click Killer Network Service then click Properties, this brings up Killer Network Service Propertie. Go to Start up Type, click the Drop Down and select Disabled.
or
Right-click your Taskbar, click Task Manager. Click Startup tab, find Killer Control Center, and right-click it and disable it from Startup.
I would uninstall it and only install the drivers.

I've got all the switches turned off in that program and that seems to have done the trick. There must have been an update that turned those switches on.
It's nice to have my internet at full speed again.

Updated to Windows 11 today. The Update took two and a half hours.
Some interface changes like the new Start menu and Taskbar take getting used to.

I just can't get used to the new Taskbar, especially the Start Menu. It's now in the center of the bar, and not in the lower-left corner of the screen.
But you can move it to the left, using the taskbar alignment option.
Right Click the taskbar and choose "Taskbar Settings"
Select “Taskbar behaviors”
Look for “Taskbar alignment” and click on the button on the right where it says “Center.” Select “Left” instead.

Frank, do you know of any good screen and audio recorders? Like recording your laptop's screen and audio?
Thanks in advance, thanks.

Bandicam is a good one, but the free version leaves a watermark on your video recording.

If you want to share your recordings online, you may like ShareX.getsharex.com/ Oh, awesome, thanks. I wish these screen recorders had a small monthly fee; it is cool that you can do the sole payment thing and get it always, but a lot of the time I don't use it (use it for a sole assignment or something).
I did find a cool way of recording if you've got a Windows pc or laptop, Frank. If you press the wingows key and G at the same time, it will take you to Windows X box thing, but there you can record video and audio (even with headphones). Then you can save it to your files. Its pretty good.

Hello guys, hope you are good.
I was wondering if you guys, because you are way more tech savvy than me, know anything about any good grammar checkers that can be installed on Microsoft Word?
Basically, I've finished a bunch of novels, but I was just wanting to use a program that could maybe catch those typos and wrongly used commas, you know?
I did used to use Grammarly, even the premium version, but the new version of Grammarly is so bad. It used to be that it was an extension, an add in of Word, and you could use it like a search bar when going through your work for suggestions from Grammarly, but I checked out the new version and they've updated it and its so bad. Basically, it doesn't track certain things, and when you move the page, you have to wait for all the Grammarly search results to reload again; its so, so bad.
Anyway, I won't get into all the reasons as to why its just so bad, but I was wondering if you knew of any other sites like Grammarly that are good for checking spelling, punctuation and the like on Word?
Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. Just emailed a friend who self publishes and uses a ck program. Will post for you once I hear back.
