Moonfall
The world stands on the brink of annihilation when a mysterious force knocks the moon from its orbit and sends it hurtling toward a collision course with Earth. With only weeks before impact,
I thought, "hey a nice chips and beer movie".
But it was just a big
Somehow, they took aliens, Dyson spheres, AI, interstellar travel, and government coverups, and made it boring.
The visual effects were good but the mediocre performance by the cast made it look like a B grade movie. Some actors looked like they did not want to be there.

The Gray Man (2022) Ryan Gosling Chris Evans
Great action but a mediocre story.
A Bourne copycat flick.

Just an FYI that I would watch X first, since that was the order of release. A24 has produced some really good movies. Hope these will eventually come around to Hulu and/or tubi. I’d like to see both of them.
”X” looks like ‘Boogie Nights’ meets ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ with a better sound track. 😄 Can’t beat some good Foghat. 😎🎶‘Boogie Nights’ meets ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, love it!!!

We watched DAMSEL last weekend and it started out very sappy and cutesy; but I think they did it to show character growth in Millie Bobby Brown's character. Tthings always improve when you add a

The Wandering Earth
When the sun dies out, the people of Earth build giant thrusters to move the planet out of orbit and sail to a new star system
Perfect Popcorn movie. It's like watching Sunshine, Gravity and 2001 at the same time.
Enjoyable, fast paced and full of action. CGI is eye popping and design work is very good.
It's in Chinese, with subtitles.

Bad Country
Based on a true story. In 1983, a veteran Baton Rouge detective, Bud Carter (Willem Dafoe), infiltrates the most powerful criminal enterprise in the South.
Not brilliant but worth a watch. Yet another action thriller, but with a good cast. I like Matt Dillon in this movie.

Cop Car
Two mischievous boys (James Freedson-Jackson, Hays Wellford) stumble upon a seemingly abandoned police cruiser and steal it, unaware that its murderous owner (Kevin Bacon) has stashed a hostage in the trunk.
Sucked horrendously. The kids are too dumb to be believable. No type of plot, climax, or ending. Some parts in the film were irrelevant and only added to the confusion.

Sunset Blvd. (1950) Gloria Swanson, William Holden
One of the all-time greats. The final scene is a masterpiece.

No country for Old Men
While out hunting, Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) finds the grisly aftermath of a drug deal. Though he knows better, he cannot resist the cash left behind and takes it with him.
Okay, the plot is pretty simple, but the acting is just brilliant. Javier Bardem and Tommy Lee Jones performances were outstanding.
A gripping and intense thriller with strong visuals and a tense, atmospheric tone throughout the film.
