Reptile
Following the brutal murder of a young real estate agent, a hardened detective attempts to uncover the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems, and, by doing so, dismantles the illusions in his own life.
While it was billed as a drama thriller, i found it to be more of a drama than a thriller.
It goes from a classic Whodunnit mystery to a boring lame small scale drug trafficking story. As far as the acting it was great, I like Benicio Del Toro and the rest. Still don't know why they named this movie Reptile. I’d like to see that. 😊
I did that rewatch of “The Stand” awhile back. I love it when I rediscover little things that I’ve forgotten.
Tom 😆😂 He’s so serious when he speaks, at times. Bless his sweet good heart. 😄❤️ ”M-O-O-N. That spells X.”

Bones And All (2022)
A horror romance. It's pretty good but I thought it could have been better. Some scenes feel like there was more there that was edited out.

It’s cold out today, going to have chicken tortilla soup for dinner. 😊
Watching all the Jason Bourne movies right now.
Watched “Cutter’s Way” 1981 last night. Bridges and Heard are good together in that one. Good story.
Alex, John Heard, is so damn crazy. I’d love to see him go round and round with Lt. Dan. 😂

The Expendables 4
Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on, the Expendables are the world's last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table.
I really liked the first three movies, but this one sucked.
The addition of Megan Fox to the cast felt out of place. The plot is underwhelming, and it's filled with predictable moments. While the franchise has always been known for its over-the-top action, "Expendables 4" seems to cross the line into absurdity.
The Effects/CGI looked like a Direct to DVD B-Movie, not like a Blockbuster.

Dune (Part1) 2021
One of the greatest sci-fi epos ever delivered on the big screen. The cast, the haunting score (thanks again Hans Zimmer), sound design, acting, costumes, sets, everything was done with love and care for detail and it showed.
This movie is a must-see for those who appreciate this genre.

Panic in Year Zero (1961) Ray Milland
The US is attacked with nukes and a man takes his family into the wilderness to try and ride it out and wait for civilization to come back.
The Criterion Channel has a bunch of post apocalyptic movies this month and my last two posts are movies from that collection.

If you're interested in post-apocalyptic movies, wireman, I've found a couple on Tubi that I posted in the thread dedicated to that. I found 'em after reading your post!

Continuing with my post apocalyptic movies on The Criterion Channel
1990: The Bronx Warriors (1982)
Escape From The Bronx (1983)
Definite B movies but good ones. The stories are a blend of Escape From New York, The Warriors and Mad Max with an Italian director. The First movie 1990: The Bronx Warriors, starred Vic Morrow. It was the last movie he completed before he died in The Twilight Zone movie accident.
Speaking of Vic Morrow. Did you know that he is Jennifer Jason Leigh's dad?
