What I did today/yesterday is possibly break my nose. So stupid. Bent down in the dark for my slippers and smashed the bridge of my nose on a metal chair. So much blood. Disgusting. Been icing it with a bag of frozen peas off and on for hours. Sure hope it's not broken. I am a certified spazz. (((((morgan!))))) .....Oh, I hope it's not broken, poor girl! a054

Today, I ordered proofs of my comic book. Provided those come out okay, I'm ready to launch. Next, I'm making an everyday blanket for baby Brevyn. I'll post a picture when it's done.

Has the swelling gone down? neesy might be able to give you some advice on how to treat it, she has a medical background in the military I think. Um - no - not really! I was a Supply Tech then I remustered to Admin Clerk. I DID work as a medical transcriptionist for Health Sciences Centre but that is all.
I remember getting hit with a badminton racket on the bridge of my nose in high school - wow - that thing swelled up real good.
I think so far morgan has done the best she can but maybe she should go for some professional medical advice.

MORGAN I made a mistake yesterday and sent a message to WOLF instead of you.
My apologies (Wolf). Hope that nose is feeling better. It must be painful.

Thanks so much for the well wishes everyone. I don't think I broke it. My undereyes didn't turn black and blue. Didn't swell up as much as I thought it would either. Still bleeding here and there - gross. Sorry. My sinuses are still messed up from when I was so sick. Not fun to blow your nose after an injury like that.

Today I am getting a bit more exercise than usual. Our water is off (actually the whole block has had the water turned off) due to a water main break on our street.
This has been going on for over 24 hours now.
So we have to go out front with a couple of big plastic pails, fill them up from a water tank trailer that the city has parked out there for fresh drinking water and use that for all of our water needs - drinking, cooking, washing dishes, flushing the toilet etc.
Today I decided I would try to put enough water in the tub upstairs to have a bit of a bath. Oy vey - I've been going up and down the stairs so many times with big pots of very hot water.
Eventually I should have enough so I can feel human again after washing some of this sweat off. Normally I would fill the tub up to the brim and soak in it (that feels like quite a luxury now)

I'm so sorry you have to go through all that Neesy.
(edit happens here.)
...okay.....I'm sorry, but I must ask, "Where the hell is Josh?" and why is he not helping his mother with this!? .....and excuse me....but how old is he?
Are 'Andy man and Josh making sure to haul bath water for themselves? (really don't care if they are are or not) If they can do it for themselves then they BOTH could work together and at least help you with what you need.
AND....if they're NOT hauling water to have baths themselves, then they have got plenty of damn energy to just DO IT ALL for you.
AND.... if either of them ( or BOTH of them) disagree with me, then just put 'em on line.......PLEASE.....I'd love to give them a piece of my mind. ........Not kidding.
{sorry, but we went through a time when (our natural gas was turned off) we actually had to heat water out on the front patio with propane burners and haul it in, mix it with cold tap water for our baths....(and fill a huge laundry barrel with 'rinse' water to boot.) My son helped with it all (happily, for it was fun for him) for himself, me and his da. He was all of 7 to 9 years of age at the time.}

.......Oh! and by the way neesy, when I said my sun was 7 to 9 years old, I meant we went without gas for that long. Our old copper gas pipes were worn out and all had to be replaced and city inspected before the gas company would turn the resource back on again.
(yeah, we went about 2 years hauling water.)

Flying solo today, my wife is heading off with her sister and father for a few hours and my daughter is in work, I might just stay in bed and catch up on some much needed sleep.

Not much today, I hope to catch up with the forum a little.
Yes, I've got it! It's nothing spectacular, but it's such a nice shade of olive green. Glad you like it - that brought memories back of having to wear olive green combat uniforms when I was on the Base Defense Force - guess it's a good thing I had red hair so it didn't clash
Oh yes, that's a wonderful colour combination!

Good news is that they got the problem under control by Saturday around 2 p.m.
Josh was at work when this first started. He stayed home from work on Friday (this is a long weekend here anyway plus his birthday is on Monday). He DID help once he was up out of bed but I let him sleep in on Friday as a treat because he is normally up quite early.
So - it's my own fault I guess!
That is what I get for being an early riser.
To be honest it started to feel pretty good after a while - I like to use my muscles and realized just how out of shape I have allowed myself to become.
When I finally got in that tub it felt great! I managed to get it half way filled and it is one of those deep soaker tubs.
By the way - how was your Valentine's Day? Did you do anything special?
(Did not want to post a new thread so here is a quote from you wolf :
Oh! and by the way neesy, when I said my sun was 7 to 9 years old, I meant we went without gas for that long. Our old copper gas pipes were worn out and all had to be replaced and city inspected before the gas company would turn the resource back on again.

Monday morning, sitting on an empty paint bucket having my cuppa, I'll get up off my a$$ in ten minutes and start work.

It's Louis Riel Day here which is nice (It's good for people to have a day off in the middle of February)
Enjoy your cuppa {you have inspired me to go find my Lady Grey tea bags)
