Just sitting down for a cup of tea for lunch. Hi Notaro - it's 9:30 a.m. here - went out to water the plants a bit, had a cup of decaf coffee and a toast with some peanut butter.
Is peanut butter very popular where you are? I noted while in Scotland way back in 2005 that it was hard to find any good peanut butter there. Of course this was a small island off the west coast of Scotland so they didn't have a lot of big stores there.
I think (after reading your post) that I'll make some nice Lady Grey tea and have a second piece of toast
Yep we have all manner of peanut butter here neesy, my daughter loves the stuff, she puts it on her pancakes and she'll use in when she makes a cheesecake.

Not a happy camper, checked behind the kicker board at the sink unit and there was a mouse in one of the traps, had mice a year ago and managed to get them all, left the traps in situ and checked them periodically, never anything in them or never any droppings visible anywhere, last time I checked was just over a week ago and nothing there. The back door and windows have been open quite a bit because of the good weather so I'm hoping he was just a lone wandering minstrel who popped in. I'll start spraying peppermint oil around again, they hate it and steer clear of where ever the aroma is strong.

I know this sounds weird but we noticed that on the isle of Arran hardly anyone had screens on their windows.
Here in Canada it is pretty much standard (I think it is part of our building code).
We still get the odd mouse in the fall when the weather starts to get colder but the cat makes quick work of them.

No neesy we've no screens. I have traps set all over the kitchen where they seem to focus their attention, I'm sure I'll get them, I got them last time, GHqimuMivWNrzjQKNdYE they can't resist peanut butter.

Nothing in the traps today, I'll give it a week and if there's no further signs I'll start to relax about it.

Sundrop Hey Birthday Girl! Did the rain stay away so you could enjoy the parade and grilling? Hope you're having a beautiful day! Hey Morgan! I'm so sorry that I've been a slacker and am just seeing this......
That rain stayed away for the parade, but interfered a little with the grilling....but I managed to light the coals in the rain! It cleared off again for the evening fireworks show. All in all, it was a very good day! ♥

So far today all I have managed to do is watch a bit of TV, drink some tea and eat toast
Andy has gone out for a wee while but I am expected to be dressed and bathed by the time he gets back
(Yah - I know - it sounds like I am intimidated by him) (rofl)
I think today we will just go get a hot drink somewhere and perhaps figure out what to have for supper.
By the way - he is 100% better (except he needs to have some stitches removed in about a week).
Also - our deck looks really good - all the old paint is gone and he has applied a nice clear coat - it's almost time to put everything back on the deck where it belongs

Yup - he was feeling so much better he decided to move a heavy gate that we had been using as a temporary table to put our plants on.
He really should have asked Josh to help him with that facepalm
It was too heavy and when he was lifting it up it slipped, hit the side of our tent trailer and left a nasty dent.
Oy vey - oh well - the thing is 20 years old but still in pretty good shape. Maybe now that all the plants are back where they belong we can attempt opening it up and having a look inside. It needs to be aired out smilie_wet_162

Laundry. And it's trash pick up today, so breaking down cardboard boxes, and getting together other recycling to go out on the curb for pick up. The trucks are running a little late today.

That`s on my to do list for tomorrow LAUNDRY is an almost everyday thing around here. Sometimes every other day, if I'm lucky. Constantly keeping the linen closet stocked with all the bath towels.

Y'all don't have a problem with mosquitos in that climate do you Notaro? We HAVE to have screens on all the windows here because of them. Morning and cool evening and night is when they are terribly active here. The high heat and low cold sends them into hiding. I like the brief periods of spring and fall when you can have all the windows and doors wide open and not have to worry about them or the flies. Gorgeous pictures of Kilmashogue! Want to see all you want to show us.

Want to see all you want to show us. Speaking of flies, yesterday Andy killed seven of them. I asked him if he left them in the main floor bathroom (floating in the toilet) to demonstrate that he had done so, but he says they all congregated in there as if they were attracted to the light coming from the window.
Then Josh started killing a few using his ball cap (last night as we saw some buzzing around).
I had my trusty fly swatter and managed to get a couple.
We normally don't have that many flies getting in the house.
Yuck - they are that buzzy kind.
There may be one left - just hoping it will land somewhere so I can get rid of it
This is what we need! (Wish I had one right now)

Today I am going to try to clean the kitchen -- scrub the cupboards and everything else in that room.
That will be about it other than some sewing tonight.

Want to see all you want to show us. Yes Wolf we do have mosquitos here in Ireland but with the exception of the last couple of years we've never really had prolonged good weather for them to be a problem, frankly wasps are a bigger problem here, nasty little b******s. I remember working in a house which had a wasp's nest in the attic and they were making their way down into the main part of the house making it impossible for me to carry on working, I was standing outside in the front garden wondering what I could do when my boss drove in and got out of his car, seeing me standing there he asked "What's the problem", I said "There's more wasps in the house than there is outside the house". He went inside and came back out pretty quickly waving his hands over his head, "I see what you mean" he said. End result was we had to get an exterminator.
