LOL...Don't creep her out. I sent her a short story I wrote about a peeping Tom. Wow...
That might explain why she has a headlamp??? (rofl) and a restraining order.

I love my headlamp. I won it at trivia a few years ago. Comes in mighty handy.
Doc is quite a writer! The one you mentioned doccreed was a great story!

Finishing my tea before starting work, it's just after 8am here and I don't like calling into someone's house this early, I prefer to leave it till they're finished having their breakfast and get the kids set for school, last thing they need is a guy going around their house with paint getting in their way.

In a long far away when ago, in the Ka-tet Cantina of eld, now long devoured by the Langoliers',
there was a morning of mine that I came clunking, wearing big black boots.
(......mmmm......or maybe I was bounding in through the dog door again.I can't recall exactly what particular disruption I was causing that day.)
I looked around to see who was up with me, and the first thing I saw was a verichrome realistic animated pic of a squirrel.
He was the coolest thing I had ever seen, sitting there at the bar raising his little arm over and over again drinking an icy cold looking mug of beer!
My good friend PatriciaA (Purrrrtricia) had brought him to the Cantina. Just like she had so many other wonderful posters and other things before. I loved him immmediately! And promptly dubbed him Oscar, because I thought he was pretty 'Wild'! And he has been my good drinkin' and epicsode buddy ever since.
Back in those days the Cantina was grand, it still is too! Just in a little different way
The above was copied and pasted from Tet-Mates Writing Creatively over at the SKMB
I remember Patricia and I understood you saw her avatar as Oscar - but I just did not make the connection between this and all of the squirrels in the world.
Speaking of squirrels we have maybe three of them right now running along the fence out back.
One came close to the deck today to get some bread and Andy stomped his foot and scared him away!
Hey Neesy Pat (PartriciaA) had a pretty kitten Avatar back then, it's different now. Remember when you, Spidey, Ms.Mod and I discussed it in "May birthdays" not too long ago. I never saw that kit as a squirrel. Pat was grand wiz at posting pic's and animated pic's like you and Frank do! There's also another mention of the 'oscars' towards the end of the post that follows the one you copied and pasted here. The confusion is completely my fault, I'm not that great at explaining and describing. I appreciate you and others pointing out my errors and showing me my place. That way I can improve and take it. ....older wolf happily learning from failures and moving on to better. Have a great week Nees! See you on the SKMB
Oh dear - I am not pointing out your errors - you make me sound like such a critic - I am just trying to understand you - sorry if it came across that way
This is not the first time I have been misunderstood - maybe I am losing it in my old age!

Bravo annamarie ! I love the skirt - a skirt or dress with pockets makes me gasp with pleasure every time!! Are you standing on your bed taking that picture? Too cute!!
Today was a busy work day. It was 9pm before I got dinner cooked. Having a cocktail now. Getting ready to go watch the Great British Baking Show until I fall asleep. I keep trying to make it through the trifle episode. I want to make a trifle soon. I bought a dish in the GW that i want to use.
A funny thing happened the other night. When the dogs are roaming the backyard at night and I want them to come in, I turn off the lights in the kitchen, put on my headlamp and find them in the dark. It's all woods behind our house so there's no light back there at all. Well, I found their two pairs of glowing green eyes and then another pair higher up over the fence line - and they were looking at me. Yikes!! I was frozen. I though it might be a sasquatch. Since it was taller than the fence. But then I got a glimpse of white striped tail - lemur? Surely not, but it was my second thought - It seemed too long to be a raccoon but I'm pretty sure it was a raccoon. Creeped me right out for a few seconds though when I was thinking it might be a sasquatch though.
wolf HHAHAHAHA T O M - that spells that's our Mal!! I will just say that I wasn't properly caffeinated before I wrote that post. Oblivious to the obvious. Trying to picture you wearing this headlamp - did you buy it for camping in the woods?
You must have looked like an alien to the mysterious creature with the glowing eyes - great story!

Don’t worry, there’s no such thing as a Sasquatch. My guess is it was a Melon Head you saw (small humanoids with bulbous heads are the inbred decedents of escaped criminals who resorted to cannibalism to survive the area’s harsh winters). Although they have primarily been spotted in Connecticut, Michigan and Ohio the economic hardships of the past decade have caused many to emigrate to southern woodlands.

Yes I am standing on the bed. It’s the only place with a mirror big enough to take the picture.
Do men design dresses and skirts? They should all have pockets.
Today my granddaughter is coming for a sleepover party. We were supposed to take her home Sunday, but I’m hoping she’ll stay TIL Tuesday. Monday is Canada Day, and I want to take her to Pioneer Village. They are having Canada Day celebrations there. I’m going to see if she would like a skirt to. Then we can go dressed as pioneers. 🤣🤣

Doc is quite a writer! The one you mentioned doccreed was a great story! Yes m'aam have always been 12...
Was my father's number in basketball and baseball, mother's in basketball and mine in every sport I played...
Just a small suggestion about the headlamp...
Never wear one on a blind date (It doesn't go over well if she doesn't have a twisted sense of humor)...
Don't ask me how I know...

thekidd12 And here I thought the 12 had something to do with your boyhood charm and sense of humor.

Let's see - what did I do today?
Not a heck of a lot!
I clipped my cat Bailey's front claws then brushed him (It's a thing I do so he will associate nail clipping with a reward).
Watered some plants on the deck and made and ate supper.
Now I think I will go read "My Love Story" by Tina Turner

Having breakfast, tea and toast. Plan for today is to scoot into the city centre to a shop called Cex which sell second hand games/laptops/phones/accessories/dvd/bluray, I saw online they had the box set of the old 70's show The Good Life which I really want to get, the Dublin LGBTQ Pride March is on today so there'll be roads closed and diversions set up from early this morning so my best bet is to leave the car at home and get the bus in and grab the box set and bus it back home before the place gets too chaotic.

Baily has a great mom Do tell us what you think about Tina's story lil Nees, I bet it's a good read. I know I would like hear. I'm up to Chapter 10 - I wanted to continue reading but my eyelids were getting heavy.
I thought of Pegasus when reading this - Tina had to undergo dialysis but the man she had been in love with for many years (who she later married) wanted to donate one of his kidneys to her
Have not got to the part where she had the surgery yet but it sounds like he saved her life!
It's a very good book - if you can get a copy you should read it - mine is just a large type library copy
I read her previous book from 1986 and this one is just as good if not better

Have you heard of a series called "Still Game"? We used to watch it when I was over in Scotland. It's pretty funny

I hope to hear tomorrow (lol, yours or mine) that you had a good trip into town, and that you managed to get that box set. I liked that show very much. We have had it here, aired on PBS. But it was titled "Good Neighbors". Penelope Keith is a highly entertaining actresses and comedienne. The whole cast was extremely talented. But Margo had some of the most hilarious little storylines.
