I plan to explain why I’ve been gone for so long when the message board reopens, but it looks like some of the threads are messed up right now

Busy day. Worked for a bit, took care of my mom's critters, went for a long walk, and am spending some time here. I have some cooking/cleaning/laundry to do tonight. Some Saturday night, huh?! Exciting stuff.

Yesterday, I built a bench from cinder blocks and 4x4s. Had to paint the blocks first, and while the paint was drying I decided to tear down and move the fire pit. Got myself a small sunburn while I was working. Today, I plan to do a whole lot of nothing!!

Doublewide is full of giggling and AC is cranking up...

Hospitalized for around two weeks (11 days), discharged Friday the 17th (I think) over a nervous breakdown

My son’s band had a gig last night. It was the closest to our home ever. Even though Punk is really not my style, we went to see them.
I actually love where they performed. There is this old theatre from 1911. Over the years it’s been a few things. In the 60’s it showed Greek movies. Around the 90’s the area was called Little India, so the theatre catered to the people living there. Recently it has been closed up. But this guy decided to restore it. He cleaned the original seats. People can rent the theatre to show their films, or, like last night, perform. There is a small stage in front of the movie screen. They were singing, with a movie playing behind them...which was actually kind of cool.
A punk band, with Saw playing behind them.

The perfect woman to me would be a little of one and a lot of the other...
Bet you can guess which way I would lean...

Finishing off my cup of Lady Grey tea before picking up the paint brush and starting work. Wow - quite a coincidence - I really enjoy that type of tea too!
My apple cake is starting to smell quite good - I added half a cup of currants and 1/3 cup of walnuts to it - it's actually more of a square as I baked it in a 9 " X 9 " pan

Saturday I finally got the parts to fix my tractor and mowed down the eight inches of grass. In the afternoon the youngest had her high school graduation. Luckily we decided to leave an hour earlier then planned because traffic jams were atrocious. The rich next door neighbors in back of us had a graduation party in the evening for their daughter who goes to private school and hired two bands to play (first band was better than the second). Must have cost them a pretty penny because both groups have had several albums released and only played original music. Unfortunately I don’t know today’s music to figure out who the groups were. Although they’re about a quarter mile behind me the music was really clear. We sat on our covered deck, listening to live music till 10pm, watching fireflies and drinking tequila shots.

Yesterday was busy. So much so that I forgot to say goodbye on the SMKB! Doh!!
We are getting a new VP at work, so he had a big meeting to talk to us about some shuffling of managers, then I left early to get home to take my daughter to her awards ceremony. She got a 2019 Outstanding Art Student award.
Today, I'm working until noon, then heading to the Special Olympics summer games to volunteer with the Track and Field events. My company has been helping with the summer games for years and I missed last year's event, so I am very excited to be able to go again this year. It's always a great time!
