Yesterday was busy. So much so that I forgot to say goodbye on the SMKB! Doh!!
We are getting a new VP at work, so he had a big meeting to talk to us about some shuffling of managers, then I left early to get home to take my daughter to her awards ceremony. She got a 2019 Outstanding Art Student award.
Today, I'm working until noon, then heading to the Special Olympics summer games to volunteer with the Track and Field events. My company has been helping with the summer games for years and I missed last year's event, so I am very excited to be able to go again this year. It's always a great time! Congrats to your daughter. Hope all remains calm at your work.

Good for you for volunteering with Special O - Josh has been involved in their bowling for many years now.

Thanks! I love it. I remembered that you mentioned Josh was involved in the bowling events. I have never helped with that side but hear it is always a blast!!

Well, it rained out our track and field events today. What a bummer!! Felt so bad for our athletes who have been looking forward to this!!
I and my co-workers looked like wet rats! But they are still holding the final leg of the torch run and opening ceremony tonight.

Well that must have been a disappointment!
Andy just asked me to turn on the A/C - wow - that is not like him as he doesn't like air conditioning.
I remember when they installed it the guy said the switch had to be turned to a certain position (the breaker switch). Now I'm a bit confused - I thought the breaker had to be off for the A/C to work.
But I just talked to a technician who said that the A/C should work in conjunction with the blower on the furnace - I hope I am not screwing something up.
I remember he said the switch had to be turned off while the furnace was on and turned on when it was time to put on the AC but when I went down there the switch was still in the on position (the breaker switch)
Oy vey - I am so confused right now.

I had a meeting today with a manager of a local health food store. She owns her own natural skin care line and wants me to do some work for her. Not sure how it will all pan out, but I was blessed to be approached about it.
She made a comment about me having good skin and I had to laugh. Told her it was a trick of the eye. I just know how to spackle on makeup! LOL But, I am a tad bit proud of myself that I actually stepped out of my comfort zone entirely to even take the meeting. My stomach has been in knots all day!

Hope this will prove to be something for you. Let us know about the natural skin care line if you can-- PM if considered self promotion. I use only all natural, no chemicals, preservative-- hard to find sometimes

Yes, I know it took courage to come out of your comfort zone, LOL. Keep us updated.

Country boy would have told you same...
Furnace fan is what AC goes through. Only difference in winter is source that comes through fan. Heated gas, oil, whatever.
That is unless y'all on the metric cooling system up there and then who knows...

When Andy was up north in Baker Lake Nunavut they actually had elders who knew how to build an igloo (believe it or not) - they are so far north up there they are beyond the tree line (I don't know how he managed working up there for so many years)
But down here in Winnipeg things are different.
Might look up the brand name that is on the top of the unit - Google it and see if maybe it needs servicing

Have myself fed and watered so I'll be heading out in about an hour to collect my wife from her bikram yoga class.

Went to a workshop for "real" job today. Lasted almost 7 hours with an hour for lunch. Got paid to go too. What a concept...
Hate to be "that guy" but seemed like it was only justification for the guy doing it to have a job. But, keep in mind, this is the first public work I have ever done so I could be wrong...
Came home and it wasn't raining for the first time in 3 days so shoveled approximately ton and a half of gravels I had delivered 4 days ago.
Yes I own a skid steer but wanted to do some work that might cause blisters.
Feels good to ache sometimes.
Yeah, as I have said many times, I'm a little different...

Are you graveling your driveway? Yeah had my neighbor, who hauls professionally, bring me about 9 tons (driveway is kinda long) a month or so ago. Spread those with skid steer. Needed about 4 tons more to finish but been raining seems like since every day. He brought the rest at 5:30 last Thursday morning. Been raining since. Skid steer is back at barn and didn't want to go get it so decided I could spread the rest a shovelful at a time. Going to work on it some more this afternoon. Supposed to rain again tomorrow.
