TThere was a lot to see, the highlights being the street he was shot on, the window Oswald scoped from, the arrangement of the boxes Oswald used for a sniping range, the gun used by Oswald to kill Kennedy, and the silverware meant for Kennedy at the luncheon he never got to.

For the last 2 days, I have been figuring out how to work my new TV, and stereo. That is always fun things to do for me! I love my new stereo! It is so small, but loud!! My TV has such great color to it, and I like the sound. My old one didn't sound good when I played a music DVD. So, Kaen took it for her room.

Hi there Tet-dudes!
I'm still recovering from yesterday's dental work - four fillings so about an hour and a half in the chair. Glad I didn't have to drive myself home. The numbness gradually abated and I was able to eat mushroom soup at supper time.
Of course I was horrified to find Andy had put half a carton of whipping cream in there - I guess that was why it was so delicious. Unfortunately there's about 800 calories in one cup of cream!
c029
I think it must take about 24 hours for the anesthetic to go through your blood stream. At least that is what it felt like for me. I see by the clock it is already after 2 p.m. so I guess I won't be making it to the gym after all.
hollygolightly - pajamas that look like pants? Where does one buy these? Sounds like something I need to buy!

Here you are trying to go to the gym and I'm trying to scrape up change for more Burger King, LOL. Glad you are feeling better after your dentist visit. Did they give you anything for pain? Have a great weekend.

Have a great weekend. Thanks Doc - they gave me three 200 mg Advils but then when I got home I took one Tylenol 3
Any plans for the weekend? I think I'll just go watch Josh do his bowling tomorrow. Andy made beef stew with potatoes on the side for tonight's supper.
I have a BK very near to me (within walking distance) but haven't had one of their burgers in a while. Usually I just order the kid's burger with cheese

No plans this weekend, but if the weather is nice next weekend I might take my niece back to the used bookstore and out to lunch. There is a fast food place that we like called Bojangles which serves breakfast biscuits all day, and we both are wanting a chicken biscuit and a sausage biscuit with grape jelly. They have killer sweet tea. They also have thick wedge-shaped hashbrowns that have a nice onion flavor.
I plan on reading and working on some other short stories tomorrow and Sunday. Last week I finished my latest story called "Sea of Forgetfulness".

Feel better neesy !! I think it was staro who mentioned somewhere on the SKMB that you can purchase Tylenol 3 with Codeine over the counter in Canada. SWEET!!
It was actually above freezing today. Had to do some work from home last night, so got to sleep in a little. Went to the grocery store. Got as far as the parking lot of B&N and saw a completely deranged woman screaming in her car (it almost seemed as if she was looking directly at me!) who proceeded to turn the wrong direction on a super busy one-way street at high speed. It freaked me out so much that I had to leave without going into the store! Yikes.

What was wrong with the deranged lady? Freaky. Not enough codeine, maybe?

neesy - Oh mercy - that sounds kind of dreadful - drilling into your teeth, jamming amalgam or resin into them - I hate it so much. Very cool that you can get Tylenol 3 OTC. I am glad you enjoyed that full on heavy cream mushroom soup - that sounds delicious!! Your Andy is a prize!
It's Lent, so I had black bean soup for dinner. And a fudgepop. And now some wine. I had a nice little pile of pickles for lunch - so tasty. I love pickles. I can't even pick a favorite. I love them all. The Ogre bought a jar of pickles called "Devil's Spit" - watch out - they are fire hot. But still so good I can't stop. My most favorite is the Kroger brand called Hot & Sweet - they are hot bread and butter pickles. I wish I had some right now.
Neesy - the pajamas that look like pants don't really pass for pants anywhere except Wal-Mart - they are some very cozy toasty warm fleece plaid Old Navy jammie pants I bought for the Ogre that he never wears, so I wear them when I'm super cold. I pair it with my super soft men's flannel that I got about 10 years ago at Goodwill (the best place to find already broken in flannel shirts!). I am the height of fashion. You can only get away with that look at Wal-Mart or if you're just pumping gas and can jump back into the car sometimes in the mornings before it gets busy in town.
morgan Mercy! How scary! I hope no one got hurt by her going the wrong way down the street. That would freak me out too! Have yourself a bottle of wine and a benzo or 3. You need to get to B&N!
doccreed I know about those Bojangles Bo'tato Rounds (insert drooling emojii here). I love them so much! Sea of Forgetfulness :
pegasus216 What are you watching these days? Do you have Netflix or Hulu? My mother in law has recently gotten Britbox - which is Netflix but British. I'm going to try and see if I can get that through my Firestick. I love British shows. And I need the next 2 seasons of Sherlock NOW.
Anyone watching basketball? I'm not much of a sports watcher but I do love Tiger basketball.
It's chilly here - 50ish - but it was 70ish on Wednesday. I can't get warm. I'm going to have to have a hot tea or go on to bed soon.

hollygolightly I love pickles too! But I only like one kind - Gedney Jalapeno Babies. Nothing else will do!
Do you like olives? I adore black olives and garlic stuffed green olives. Yum!
I absolutely do need to get to B&N! I might have the opportunity to go on Sunday with my youngest niece. She is such a delight!

Oooh lala! Those must be so good! I've never seen them. I bought of a giant jar of Hot & Sweet from Costco today - they are very similar to the Kroger ones. I made myself some tunafish with them.

HollyGoLightly, I don't have Netflix, but Karen has it. I don\t watch it though. I love Absolutely Fabulous, and Keeping Up Appearances. That woman was funny as hell !!
I'm still watching Gunsmoke, even though I have seen them over, and over!
I watch Roseanne on Saturday on TVLand. It is on until 2PM.
I really like the show The Zoo on Animal Planet on Sunday nights. I learn a lot from that. I would love to have worked there! They got to handle a baby snow leopard that had swimmer's disease. They made her all better. I would just snuggle with her when she was tiny!! That would have been the ultimate job for me!

Just to let you guys know doccreed morgan hollygolightly etc. We can buy Tylenol # 1 that has 8 mg of codeine in it but Tylenol # 3 needs a prescription
There was an article I just read about how easy it is to buy Tylenol 1's here in Winnipeg, but it has so much acetaminophen mixed in you could do serious liver damage.
The T3 I took was from Andy's prescription actually - I like it as a pain reliever but I don't like the side effects (slows down your digestive system, to put in politely)
