O is the universal donor, as you pointed out AB is the universal receiver I know what you're saying - I was trying to be funny (guess it did not work)
Holly said O negative types were descended from or part alien
- I don't really believe that what blood type you are says all that much about you.
I know someone wrote a book on the subject quite a few years back in the late 80s but it was basically balderdash
Apologies to Holly by the way - I know you and I are considered a bit "different" but I think that is part of your charm! You'd have to ask Andy about my charm - he would probably disagree!
We are the same kind of nutty, Girlfriend! What did I miss? Why "apologies'? Not necessary. I know where you're heart was, whatever it happened to be.
@dio 'Bolic Ga - did that work? I saw a bluebird last week! Go away, winter. Finches all the time. Doves - always - the Ogre calls them "flying marshmallows" because they are so fat and jiggly. And they make that funny sound - like a marshmallow would make if it could talk - ya know - "Bla-lalalalalah"

Hung out with friends at my local arcade for my birthday. Is today your birthday?! Happy Birthday - even if it's an early or belated wish!

Today, going to have to contact optometrist. Went in last week and they were supposed to call when new glasses were in. No call yet.
apparently, there is sun damage and I am supposed to wear sunglasses when outside. There is also the first signs of cataracts. (On a scale of 1-4 she said they are 0.5) Also, a marker for glaucoma, though she does not think it really is glaucoma. Said my next appointment I should see a different doctor who can test better.
But for now....I just want my new glasses so th8ngs can be clear again.

My dad had something called age related macular degeneration so I hope I don't end up having something similar.
I've been taking flax oil capsules as a supplement - maybe give that a try as it's supposed to be good for your eyesight.
Hope you get those new glasses soon!

I called and they are in. They were just opening and he hadn’t gone through the delivery yet. We’ll drive over tomorrow after doing groceries.

Today is a bowling day for Josh plus we have to go to the bank, either before or afterwards.
I'm going to take a bath with lots of Epsom salts and have a wee soak.
It seems like a good day out there weather-wise.
And since osnafrank has been kind enough to remind us what day it is, here is a picture for everyone!

Picked up glasses. Definitely an improvement, though I have not tried sewing.
I was trying to find the Rx from 2 years ago. I wanted to check if the reading part has changed. Last time I picked up a pair of glasses just for reading, and I’m not sure if they need to be changed too. Cheaper was $50 then, so I don’t want to spend that money if not needed. I found my husband’s and our son’s. Only mine is missing.

Might have to go out to the garage to plug in the Jeep Liberty - poor old thing is a 2007 and it doesn't want to start until the oil has been warmed up by the block heater (wondering if maybe I should trade it in soon)

neesy I buy "readers" for my mom at the dollar store because she's always losing or breaking them. Lol
I am doing laundry and trying to do some cleaning and organizing. It's too cold to venture out. Maybe I'll actually get that chili made. I've only been talking about that for three days now.

I might make some myself but I am going to cheat and use a can of the Stagg vegetarian chili, then doctor it up with odds and ends (whatever I feel like putting in, like onions etc.)
Wow - Andy just put the movie "Apt Pupil" on - think I'll go watch it with him!

Enjoy the movie! I haven't watched that one in over a dozen years. I need to buy it on DVD.

Funny that it came from the same book as Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me; I did keep those two and will probably watch them again in the future.
Ian McKellan gives a good performance.

Had to go to Walmart today. Yuck! And every person in the south side of town seemed to be there. Obviously in preparation for the forecasted blizzard this weekend. It was like Christmas Eve for last minute shoppers instead of a random Thursday. Crazy.

Oh you can see people in pajamas (and slippers!) at Walmart any time of day! Lol. Many years ago I used to shop there after work between 2-3 a.m. I was a restaurant manager for quite a few years and usually had the closing shift. Unfortunately that's when all the crazed druggies are out and trying to steal anything that isn't bolted to the floor. Walmart is a scary place and I don't like it!

So far today all I've done is make coffee, eat eggs and toast and post here.
It's a bit chilly outside but nice and bright today.
(I just realized that this sounds like it contradicts my Ka-Tet Cantina post (but all that stuff was done yesterday)

What a weird day this Spring Forward day always is! We -meaning me and the dogs - slept until 8am - which was really 9am. We never sleep past 6am so I was late all day. I didn't have to teach CGS because we're off for spring break - so I cleaned all day. Cleaned and did laundry. Went to Mass at 5, dinner for niece's birthday at a hibachi place. Her parents are the ones going through the nasty divorce - so it was weird - horrible and weird. Now it's bedtime, but not really because I slept way too late. Nothing to do but have another glass of wine.
morgan and neesy I've actually gone to Wal-Mart in my jammies. My fleece ones look almost like a plaid track suit - I did at least put on a bra. I have wondered though if I'm on PeopleofWalmart - if you ever need a laugh - visit that website.
Hope everyone in the states recovers from this weird day by tomorrow. Eventually I'll enjoy the extra sunshine, but for now it's just strange.

Currently at the Texas School Book depository- aka where Oswald was standing from the 6th floor when he shot President Kennedy.
