My computer is only like three of four years old and I wont be able to get it at all because my processor can't handle it.
WTF.
I'm perfectly happy with Win 10, thank you very much.

So, the Laptop is ready for Windows 11 and wants to update. I´ve read that you better wait until Fall 2022.
Anyone using Windows 11 ? And if so, what is your experience ?

I've never used it. I've got Norton Internet Security, which has its own, built in VPN. But I've been told good things about it.

Yap, I've only heard and read good things about it. And it´s only € 2,90/month.

A news story broke in the US two days ago regarding VPN's and some issues, but I was so busy talking about Musk pulling a fast one, that I didn't hear what they were saying. However, having not heard the story, I used Nord VPN at work and I felt it ran rather smooth, the speeds on average only dipped a tiny bit, nothing noticable, pinging sites seemed on the money, so that's the one I'd go with. There are so many on the market so its a hard choice but Nord is who I trust VPN wise and Eset is who I trust Anti virus wise, Eset is a bit memory hungry but it does a better job than many of the others.

I think i´ll go with Nord.
edwardjohn Norton is €20/month here, so Nord is a bit pricier in the long run, but i think it´s worth it.

I've relied on this site numerous times www.tomsguide.com/best-picks/most-secure-vpnThey have Nord at #2 this year, expressvpn is #1 right now but I've never even heard of it. I really should go VPN as well, Facebook has been giving me some issues and once you're flagged, they track you by your ip, and I may be flagged. I didn't even say anything bad, I just referred to a a well known person in the US as being a walking d+++o.

Yap, I've only heard and read good things about it. And it´s only € 2,90/month. I've had problems with internet security/protection packages on Windows 10. A person that owns a internet hosting and programming company I know told me that he recommends removing all the third party packages if running Windows 10 because 'Defender' that comes with Windows 10 does everything pretty well. I always had used 'Avast' and have now uninstalled it from my Windows 10 computers at work and home, and have had no problems.

I found out about a great Microsoft Word alternative recently called LibreOffice.
www.libreoffice.org/
If you're using Word quite a bit, then I suggest switching over to this; its way better, in my humble opinion. Plus, its totally free (as stuff like this should be), unlike Microsoft who consistently make you buy their stupid Office bundle.

I've heard about some compatibility issues, but not even MS Office offers great compatibility with itself, and as long as i can create PDF Files, i'm happy.

Word are really horrible once your subscription runs out. I was attempting to copy and paste something I had written in Word into a kind of note pad app I had on my machine (prior to my getting Libre) and they wouldn't allow it.
They do that so that people will get scared that they're going to lose what they've written and buy their product. Its pretty despicable, really.
