Hooray - I did it!
Windows 10 seems easier to use than Windows 8 - at least it's easier to find the Start menu.
I was talking with my eldest son in Edmonton and he told me I should go to Memory Express here in Winnipeg and purchase 16 GB Ram as currently I only have 6 GB

It looks like I may need to bite the bullet and purchase something new - any suggestions?
It keeps coming up saying bidi communication unavailable - I found out this stands for bidirectional communication - I tried uninstalling the printer then reinstalling
It's quite frustrating to be honest

Hey Frank - you up?
I am thinking of going out tomorrow to purchase the following:
It seems a bit pricey but I figure I will save money in the long run by not having to buy print cartridges that don't last all that long.
My current (unusable) printer is about 18 years old now and you cannot even buy print cartridges for it anymore (we were going to this inkjet place to get them refilled)
from reading reviews online it seems the instruction window is teeny tiny and you almost need a magnifying glass to read it but that seems to be a small drawback [besides - I own a magnifying glass lol)

That's a bit too pricey. I don't know how often you print documents or photos but this one would be the better choice. www.staples.ca/products/2256786-en-hp-officejet-pro-6978-colour-all-in-one-inkjet-printer-t0f29ab1h

Before buying a new printer, you might want to look at this. It might not apply but maybe worth the attempt.support.lexmark.com/index?id=SO3908&page=content&locale=en&userlocale=EN_US

Thanks for the advice but I went with the one where you fill the reservoirs with liquid ink - it works great!
I hope I can use this for as long as the old one lasted (which is unlikely but you never know!)
I think in the long run I will save money by not having to buy ink jet cartridges
By the way it was pretty easy to set up - hurray!

I just read that there is a Windows 11 coming out. Wasn't windows 10 supposed to be the last one?

Yap,it was intended to be the final version of the operating system. I don't know why,and i was also surprised, but the support for Windows 10 ends in 2025.
