I realized while at the used book sale at the library today that I need to find some new (to me) authors. I've read everything by all my favorites. Any thoughts on Clive Cussler or Tom Clancy? I see a lot of their books around.
I refuse to read anything by Janet Evanovich. Never say never, though. Didn't think I'd ever give Jodi Picoult a chance either and I was somewhat pleasantly surprised.

I've read two or three Books and they are ridiculous.
His main characters are the most anxiety-free superduperheroes i have ever seen. Insufferable to read (Just my 2 cents)

I'm just starting a book called We Are Not Ourselves (about an Irish American family)

I'm reading Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman. It's pretty good, so far. Sometimes I really like to her, and sometimes I've read something by her that I'm not even interested in finishing. This is a prequel to Practical Magic - I've seen the movie, never read the book.
I can't wait for the release of Elevation. The Mr. Mercedes trilogy and The Outsider were just too dark for me - I like SK books like Doctor Sleep, Revival - and of course, the classics: The Stand, It, Dark Tower series, but serial killers freak me out.

I put away the Baldacci it really was boring as hell.
Started "The Prophet" by Ethan Cross Reminds me a bit of Patterson but it's pretty good

Can somebody recommend any good serial killer novels? I don’t care if it’s bound in reality or the serial killer has some kind of supernatural powers. Just any good serial killing mysteries

Look up the following:
Paul Bernardo/Karla Homolka
Robert Pickton
Clifford Olson
and more recently:
Bruce McArthur
These are all serial killers from Canada - I'm sure you will find books by the first three on the list but the last one named is fairly recent so probably nothing written about that one yet.
The first two were dubbed the Ken and Barbie Killers

EDIT: didn’t read the fine print that you’re aware No problem - I just fixed it now - I read a book about those two notorious killers a long time ago - she is out of jail now and living in Quebec under a different name. Hopefully he won't get out of jail for a long time, if ever - he's a psychopath or a sociopath (can't remember which)

I thought her eyes looked kind of dead inside but did not really see it as much in him, although apparently he was the mastermind behind it all and she just went along with it or was coerced (so she says)
