@grin Willard I LOVED Blaze - I bought it forever ago and didn't read it - but when I finally started it I couldn't put it down. I don't know why it's not raved about more! Who else could make you love such a guy except our beloved Sai King?
I'm am literally dying to read The Woman in the Window. But I'm also a horrible cheapskate - I KNOW I'll find it at a thrift store for $2.99, so I don't want to pay $27 for it. I have a lot of amazon cash back bucks - I might just go ahead and get it for $10 ish used on Amazon.
As for King reading - I'm going to read Gwendy's Button Box very soon. Any thoughts on that? I'll go look in the proper thread too.

Hope you like it! ♥

I'm reading Blaze and am pretty hooked. That's one of the SK books I couldn't get through - felt too much compassion for one of the characters, IIRC. I need to stop being a wuss.

Guess that makes three SK books I'm currently reading (four if I count Bazaar of Bad Dreams - never finished that one either ). I have issues with keeping new hardcovers in pristine condition. I don't lug them around with me and only read them in certain rooms (can anyone say OCD? - lol). That's what takes me so long to finish reading new books sometimes.

I just finished reading Ready Player One. I haven't seen the movie, but I looked it up in wikipedia. What bugged me the most is that they cast a British actress to play the Canadian girl. I guess that just hurt me on a personal level because I always lobby in support of my fellow Canadians and because today is Canada Day. Also, the book was set in America and some parts in Japan, but the movie was filmed in 2 English cities. That did not seem right to me at a time when American film crews are hurting due to Hollywood productions being diverted outside of the country. Also, in spite of the numerous references to Rush in the novel, the band was pretty much excluded from the film except for the trailer. A lot of Rush fans have expressed their disappointment about this glaring omission all over the Internet.

I read A LOT so I get books from my local public digital library (City/County). I get hard back copies of Stephen King for my personal library, though. Right now I'm reading Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes and The Turn Of the Screw by Henry James and I'm enjoying both.

@sigs Hey, Gorgeous! I cannot wait to read it! I might start it tomorrow night. I did order it with my amazon points (I have so many but that means I'm burning up my Chase Amazon) I just know when I do begin, I will have to do nothing but read until I'm done. I have to get everything just so for that. Are you on summer break? Party time!

I've been wanting to read Gray Mountain and Camino Island. I've heard great things about both. I have a copy of A Painted House but can't get motivated to finish it. Never heared about these books. Started a Bag of Bones re-read and some Perry Rhodan novels on the side Bag of Bones is my favorite book!

I'm reading The Iliad & The Odyssey. At least it's not as long as Atlas Shrugged.

I enjoyed Blaze! I didn't any compassion for the characters. None whatsoever. The baby maybe! It was not great King, but good Bachman. Did the vague homage to mice & men or the similarity to the Limburg kidnapping bother anyone? The cover was a real red herring! Where's the scary haunted house?!!

New York Times bestselling author Susan Elizabeth Phillips is back with a delightful novel filled with her sassy wit and dazzling charm
Deepest winter. An isolated island off the coast of Maine. A man. A woman. Puppets. (Yes, puppets . . .) And . . . A mysterious house looming over the sea . . .
He's a reclusive writer whose imagination creates chilling horror novels. She's a down-on-her-luck actress reduced to staging kids' puppet shows. He knows a dozen ways to kill his characters with his bare hands. She knows a dozen ways to kill an audience with laughs. But she's not laughing now.
Annie Hewitt has arrived on Peregrine Island in the middle of a snowstorm and at the end of her resources. She's broke, dispirited, but not quite ready to give up...
I know - it looks a bit like a romantic novel - well it is, sort of, but the quality of her writing is very good plus there is a bit of mystery involved - I am enjoying this book very much.

Planning to start Jack and Josie by Kelly Braffet next. I love her writing.

She is the one married to Owen King, isn't she?
I was thinking about Joe Hill and how he recently got married to a British girl - I hope they are both happy! (Probably still in the honeymoon stage)

Yes, Owen's wife.
Wishing Joe all the best in his new marriage. I saw a wedding pic in his newsletter. His wife must be wicked smart (smaht) too!
