I'm happy about it! I'm so over the summer.  That being said, I hope this was the last time we had to change the clocks, there are plans to quit the whole DST system next year. |

I'm happy about it! I'm so over the summer.  That being said, I hope this was the last time we had to change the clocks, there are plans to quit the whole DST system next year. I don't like summer, more of a winter person. Our clocks go back an hour in Canada late Saturday night too. I heard about that too -- quitting the whole DST system. |

I know - it's a bit weird - I don't even have to get up to go to work but all day Monday the 5th of November I was out of sorts.
I saw a sign (cling film type) stuck to the window of the Shoppers Drug Mart here and glancing at it quickly I thought it was indicating "no tampons" - I know that sounds ridiculous but the picture looked like an unwrapped tampon still in the little cardboard case with a string hanging out the end.
It turned out to be a cigarette with smoke plumes coming off the end but to me it was bizarre - I said it out loud:
What? No tampons allowed?
It was with other symbols such as dogs etc. The lady behind me laughed and a woman who worked there and was in the doorway cracked up.

There really is a 'Jake from State Farm' !!
Karen met him yesterday! She has her car insurance, and house insurance with state farm, and she got a call yesterday from them. The guy on the phone is named Jake!!
She went up to have a meeting with him, and wanted so bad to say. 'What are you wearing, Jake from state farm?' hahahahahah

Neesy - I'd nix the celery and saute the onions and peppers with some kind of pork fat- I like sausage and wild rice with peppers & onions. I'm not a celery fan. What did you end up doing?
Guess what y'all? My 17 year old just sat down beside me to play me a song he's writing. I'm psyched. He plays guitar - mostly acoustic, but he's got a bass and an electric. He also just played me a montage of Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton. I"m thrilled. To spend just a few minutes with him these days is a gift. Between work, school and his girlfriend, he's always gone. But I just got a 15 minute concert of my favorites plus he's writing a song. That's worth a million bucks. My boy.

I went with the onion, celery, mushrooms combo and also threw in a few ripe tomatoes (left over from my tomato growing summer) - it was good and the salmon steaks were delicious

I know most King fans don't like Stephenie Meyer, but she wrote Twilight after a dream about a vampire.
