That is not normal for us - previously it had gone below zero earlier in the month, with snow on the ground

It was warmish and humid here today. Where are you, Fall? pegasus216 what are the kids dressing up as for Halloween? I love Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas - it's that time of year!! So exciting - Holiday! Holiday! Holy Day! Last night the Ogre had a work shindig that we went - nice cocktail hour (extended!) and dinner. I had tried to lose a little weight - I had a really pretty new dress to wear - so I was eating an apple and an orange every morning, no lunch, liquid dinner (wine!). Guess what? I gained. Two inches. I'm pissed. It's going to take until Thanksgiving to get it off. Fruit has too many carbs. Six glasses of chardonnay = 1 apple if you are measuring carbs. Who knew? Wine is better for you than fruit. Call me stupid. Live and learn. But Yay Chardonnay! |

Holly, Kat wants to be my little pony. Laen is some kind of monster, I don't know what it it called. I can't keep up with what the kids are watching nowadays!
Wanna hear something funny? My nurse told me that I can't drink beer because of all the carbs, BUT I can drink liquor!! I'm not a drinker of anything. My son in law takes care of all the drinking here.

I heard on the radio that people spend around 9 BILLION dollars on Halloween stuff in October. Holy wow! That's so crazy. And also that a half a BILLION dollars is spent on pet costumes. Ha!
