I barbecued ribs in the oven (low and slow) and made a pot of Northern beans with cornbread muffins. I also made stewed red potatoes and fried okra. Tomorrow, I am going to make an almond bundt cake and some banana nut bread.

I'm almost done making my pico de gallo. Not sure if I'll make any refried beans or not. But I'm definitely having organic blue tortilla chips and pico.

Andy made a potato and leek soup - I helped by peeling the potatoes.
It's a very simple soup but ends up being quite tasty - I like mine with some freshly ground black pepper. Josh enjoyed it too.

That looks delish!! That is not an actual picture (obviously) - I would have taken a photo of his soup but then I always have to resize any pictures from my phone (even on SKMB).
What are you having for supper?
I just ate a fresh tomato sandwich on toasted 'ancient grains' bread with some sliced white onion - yummy!

I wonder if that ancient grains bread is like the sprouted grain bread my mom buys. The brand is called Ezekial. The only way I like it is toasted. They also make tortillas that we make miniature pizzas out of.
Not sure about dinner around here. Not feeling very good, so nothing sounds appetizing. I'm thawing an english muffin from the freezer. Pretty exciting stuff, huh? LOL

Are these regular English muffins or special vegetarian ones?
I went looking for vegetarian recipes using English muffins and some strange stuff popped up (apparently you can make your own vegan muffins).
Sorry - maybe I should not say "strange" - more like 'unusual' (for me, anyway).

These are vegan, but I think most English muffins are since they don't contain eggs or dairy. Maybe some brands do, I'm not sure. We used to make little English muffin pizzas too. Haven't done that in a while.

Haven't done that in a while.Andy just took my banana cake out of the oven (I used five bananas in it). But unfortunately it is a bit overdone (so I'll have to cut about half an inch off the bottom once it is cooled down).
I should have known - I was sitting here and could tell by the smell it was a bit overdone facepalm
Hopefully it will still be okay once I cut that well-done crust off the bottom.

T-bone steaks on the grill tonight! That sounds delicious! I should go to Harris meats and get a couple of their steaks - they have a good butcher
What will you have with them?

What's for dinner tonight? Leftover Panera Greek salad from last night and organic roasted veggie pizza (not homemade of course! ).
