Burgers, and hot dogs on the frill tonight. With baked beans. I add korn syrup, and brown sugar to the beans just like my mom used to do. So good! They are the first to go at dinner!

My mom's basil is growing like mad, so I'm going to make thin spaghetti with marinara and loads of fresh basil. Wish I had everything to make homemade marinara, but it will be good anyway.

I have some veggie egg rolls in the freezer that you can have.  Okay, we'll be wackadoodles and have egg rolls as an appetizer before our spaghetti.

Well I am not sure (yet) about tonight, but last night I baked a whole fillet of wild sockeye salmon in a baste of butter,lemon juice,garlic, fresh basil and pepper. On the side we had salad with cheese buns that I made. Now what to do tonight

My basil is growing well this year, about to do the third cutting. The problem is I didn't plant enough. Won't be enough to last the winter. Next year I will plant a dozen plants instead of just 4.

Never thought of using my slowcooker for them. Anne wants me to make Chinese food tonight but it takes all day and she would have to forfeit going shopping. Doubt that will happen. She is STILL sleeping right now It is cutting in to her shopping time. We are going to make maple tarts tonight though.

We cheated, and had take out. O jad fried flounder, fries, and mac, and cheese. Ot was delicious! I could not eat all of it, there was a lot in there!
Karen had crab balls, and they were delicious also! The kids had pizza.

Have leftover Greek salad from Panera to eat tonight. Bought some hard rolls from the grocery store bakery and made some veggie sausage too.

I really want to make the roasted vegetable pizza that I have in the freezer, but it might be too humid to use the oven. 
So it might be a cold Tofurky sandwich - but better than nothing!

These are found in the freezer section of the grocery store. I toast them in the oven and they are light and flaky. Tastes like fried pies. Ever tried one? (The toaster streudel, not fried pies.) I had a catechist's dinner and planning meeting and the DRE and her husband made us BBQ lasagne. OMG. I've never heard of that. You can get BBQ spaghetti at almost any BBQ joint here, but lasagna? It was divine. The sauce was bbq sauce and marinara, but just the most perfect mixture. And she also made lasagna primavera - that was perfect too. And wine. And I made my strawberry fluff dessert. And some cheeses and pickles. It was a fantastic dinner. I hope there are leftovers in the fridge when I get to work on Monday.
I didn't cook, so the Ogre is eating spaghettios right now.
