Mmmmm - Andy made one of these on Saturday but he used a type of steak that had quite a bit of fat on it and it melted into the gravy
(I don't know how he stays so skinny) - I had to use a spoon to get it off the top then put it in the fridge to harden
I made a homemade pizza on Sunday - I like to make my own crust using yeast - it's a lot better than the frozen ones
How do you do your stew? - I hope it turns out good!

The beef stew was delicious! All right! - I just took some stuff out of the freezer - a steak that's already been cooked a pork tenderloin and something Andy calls "mince" but it's what we call Hamburg stew
I have no idea what I am going to do with any of this but I needed to clean out my upstairs freezer

Tonight I am making Lemon pasta from The Pasta Queen's cookbook. CREAMY AND DELICIOUS. oh and garlic bread.. Yum - I might just look that one up - I also have some already cooked chicken breasts in the fridge so maybe I could chop those up and put it in as well?
I was thinking of trying to make my own Alfredo sauce and serve it with some grated parmesan (Josh and I like pasta but Andy won't eat it) - can you believe there's someone in the world who doesn't like pasta?
He will eat some of that awful canned Spaghetti believe it or not
Wow

Tonight I am making Lemon pasta from The Pasta Queen's cookbook. CREAMY AND DELICIOUS. oh and garlic bread.. Hey there - anything special going on for Easter weekend?
I was going to buy a ham but instead we will probably have a roast beef (sirloin tip) - I tried a different cut recently but didn't like it so I went for the good stuff this time.

Ooh he is a bit weird - not sure if it's because he is Scottish? Nothing canned is as good as freshly made pasta.

Lol! My mom gave me canned pasta and grape juice when I was about 7 years old. I had a stomach bug...you can guess the horrible colors that gushed from my facehole.... I will never eat canned pasta again! Not nostalgic for me!

MmmMmm - canned pasta? Yes I agree - not a good thing at all
So right now I am making beef short ribs in a Dutch oven - you brown them first then add onion, carrot, celery, cumin, a bay leaf etc. She had two whole cloves of garlic in her recipe (it's from the internet) but I just sprinkled some garlic powder in there.
Instead of tomato paste I used some ketchup and I also added some garlic marinade and
secret ingredient ☺ some oyster sauce believe it or not (plus a wee dash of Worcestershire sauce)
The final step is to add some hot soup stock just to almost cover the meat.
It cooks at 325 F for about 3 1/2 hours so I hope once it's done it will be falling off the bone.
I plan to make some mashed potatoes to go with it.

Last night I made fried Turkey cutlets with carrots and rice. Tonight will be pasta with meatballs and gravy. In case you don't know, East Boston 'gravy' is a tomato sauce with lots of garlic and herbs.

I like pasta a lot and so does Josh so if I want to make it, I have to make something different for Andy.
I bought some penne pasta yesterday so I think I am going to make a version of macaroni and cheese only using penne (now I have a craving for it!)

Yes, we simmer the meatballs in the gravy after they've been baked in a 350 F oven for 30 minutes. Last night I made a mac and cheese with the leftover cavatappi pasta ( big curly pasta). I used oatmilk instead of dairy milk. Tasty and creamy!

That sounds pretty good - this isn't for supper but I am going to make some Banana chocolate chip squares using spelt flour - guess I will log off for now
Tonight I am thinking of chicken thighs for supper - will use my slow cooker and since they are the bone in kind it should make a nice gravy (fingers crossed!)

Tonight I made garlic knots to go with farfalle pasta with pesto sauce. Everything was going well until a big thunderstorm shut down the power. Baking garlic knots in the electric oven during a power outage.... I left the oven door closed and finished them when the power came back on. They were delicious

I sort of have an idea - but this is the first time I have heard of them
