Tasty-looking sandwich osnafrank ! I think it's a sandwich night here too, but pretty boring. Fake turkey on toasted garlic ciabatta, with tomatoes and romaine. I bought some ginger snap cookies at the store today. Yum!!
I plan on making some cold noodle salad sometime this weekend. And maybe some fried potatoes with red and green bell peppers and onions. You can order them as a veggie doener, they are also delicious Oooooo - is that feta? B0QqBYzXPBBWUeYwSIrI

Country-fried chicken with white gravy and hoppin' john. What's hoppin' john? At its simplest form it is just black eye peas and rice mixed together. It usually has diced onion and crumbled bacon it, and some people put diced peppers and other seasonings. I am using field peas as a substitute, which looks and tastes similar to black eye peas. Made chili yesterday using stir fry beef rather than hamburger. Andy does not like chili so we had a bit of a tiff and he went out to the seafood place by himself for mussels and fish and chips. (I had left him one package of stir fry beef so I thought he'd make a different recipe but I guess he wasn't in the mood for cooking)
Oh well - Josh enjoyed it and it wasn't too spicy.
Can't please all of the people all of the time!

I made some yummy veggie chili over the weekend. Think it will be a sandwich or salad night tonight. I might pick up some takeout Chinese food tomorrow after work.
And you're absolutely right - can't please everyone!

And you're absolutely right - can't please everyone! How do you make a veggie chili ? Which ingredients do you use ? First, I saute onions and garlic. Then I add canned diced tomatoes, red pepper flakes and chili powder (salt and black pepper), cover and simmer on very low heat for quite a while until tomatoes are very soft. Then I add a can of red kidney beans and more seasoning to taste and let it all simmer some more. I sometimes add bell or chili peppers and other beans I have in the cupboard, like black beans.
