A Chicken DoenerHey morgan , here is a Veggie Doener for you Is that just a different spelling of “Doner”? Meat cooked verticaly and shaved thin? I saw it on “You Gotta Eat This”. I thought it was Middle Eastern.

There is a place within walking distance from my house - it's Lebanese/Mediterranean

I don't mind a California Roll but I have to be careful eating this stuff - I had an allergic reaction once to sushi

What's for supper? That is a good question - I took out some frozen chicken breasts but now have to figure out what to do with them smilie_essen_148

osnafrank - I poached the chicken breasts to be used later in recipes.
We went to Pita Pit and I had the Buffalo chicken one but had it put into a salad instead of a pita.
It looked sort of like this but without the bread on the side

Jeezum Pumpkin Pie Crow neesy it’s called Pita Pit not Salad Pit. Is it even humanly possible to break such accepted laws?

I actually told the guy I could have a whole wheat pita and just count the points, plus have a salad on the side but he said they can put the ingredients in a salad for the same price. They call it "fork style" - it was actually pretty good.
I did want to have a cookie after for dessert but managed to resist.
Since I still like to bake, I have some home made cookies at home smiley-essen11

Interesting, I’ve never actually heard of Pita Pit before. Homemade cookies are definetly better than ones you can get from a restaurant, especially if they’re fresh.

There is one in College Station Texas smilie_winke_002 There’s one closer than that apparently. Checking Google there’s quite a few near me, maybe I’ll go and order the famous neesy salad.

Taco Tuesday here in Chez Holly. Mexican corn too - I'm addicted to that stuff. neesy - you are very inspiring! I don't weigh - I'd probably die of shock. When my clothes get tight I try to reign in my bad habits.

I'm not going to give up however - we bought a nice tray of pre-cut vegetables with dip, some apples, a head of cauliflower etc. plus I have a Weight Watchers magazine with recipes in it.
Just trying to figure out what to have for lunch - maybe a cottage cheese recipe - there is one for pancakes! That sounds good.
They also recommend the Greek style yogurt with 0% fat (the plain kind) - that has zero points. You can mix garlic or onion into it, similar to sour cream.
Think I will go try that pancake recipe now.
