I was hiking Saturday and saw this alligator just chillin in the mud. A long shot and a zoom.

 A long as I'm not in the water, I'm ok. 
It's mating season for them now so they are on the move. You see them wandering around on land a little more this time of year.

Didn't know where to put this and thought it would fit in this thread. This is Python Cowboy (with Cougar Girl and Moose) hunting pythons in the Everglades. No way would I crawl around in the Everglades at night. I wouldn't even go where he goes in the daytime.
This is interesting and shows how hard it is to find these snakes and nests. It's not an easy job trying to rid the Everglades of pythons. If you want the short version, go to the 6:00 mark. That's when his dog, moose discovers the nest.

Discovered a cool county park that I didn't know existed. The park has a trail/boardwalk that cuts through about a mile of mangroves and ends up at the intercoastal. There's a large pavilion at the end on the water with picnic tables. You can see a small portion of the pavilion in the last photo. There were some people sitting at tables and I didn't get a good picture of it because it would have been kind of awkward with the people there.
