One of the things that drew me to King was his shared Universe. I like when stories connect, its why I loved Marvel over DC. In my reading experience the only other author who did this was Sir Terry Pratchett. I kept coming back to King's books to see if there was a connection somewhere that made his world seem all the more real. More often than not I was happily pleased.
This thread is for those little moments in his books or movies where a cross over occurred. I'd like to hear what your favorites are. This could mean spoilers, so read at your own risk.
I'll start off with one of my personal favorites. When I was reading the Tommyknockers and I got to point where Ev was researching the area around Haven in the Burning (Big Injun) Woods. He got to the part where Chief Atlantic proclaimed the woods where their burial ground was. I was shocked, he was referencing Pet Semaytary. They even mentioned Ludlow and how they didn't know where Chief Atlantic had been buried or IF he had been.

I know I am going to enjoy this thread JB, Thank you! (Have always loved Marvel the most too, and the 'crossovers/links' there....though I do have to admit that I think they over did it back in the mmm....mid to late 80's, in attempt to up sales/subscriptions. It backfired on them. 😟)
I have always liked and got into the 'crossovers', and also how each King story is still a great 'stand alone' work. (Though often there are things that make go, "hmmmmm?...." 🙂😉)

Ah but with the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) they got it right. I would love to see a King Cinematic Universe (they kinda tried it with the new Pet Sematary, the mentioned Cujo and Derry)

I Thought This was Funny in Needful Things When My Gaunt Was Talking to Ace Merril About His Uncles Buried Treasure.
" Maybe He Didn't Trust Banks My Gaunt Said " Maybe He Buried His Treasure. Do You Think That's Possible Ace?"
Ace Opened His Mouth. Closed it Again. opened it. Closed it.
"Stop That" Said Mr Gaunt "You Look Like a Fish in an Aquarium"
Lol! .....That is funny....another crossover? Ace Merrill being in the novella, "The Body"....the story that the movie "Stand by me" is from. Speaking of funny SK moments, the stories Gordie used to write/tell...like "The pie eating contest". Here's another one for you JB/ darkharbinger . 😊 I like all of the Ace and Pop Merril mentions I have found...like in "The Sundog"....icky as that was. 😳

wolf i Never Read The SunDog either I Will Have to Check it Out. Is That a Story all By it Self? Okay...from what I remember, "The Sun Dog" is one of the stories in SK's collection "4 Past Midnight".
(The other 3 are, "The Library Policeman", "The Langoliers" and "Secret Window, Secret Garden". Now.....I'm trying to remember, I think I got that right. There is another short story of his that I liked, "My Pretty Pony" but I can't remember which collection that one is in.)

There was one last Tommyknocker link we didn't mention, the little boy on the beach was from The Talisman Speaking of "The Tommyknockers"....(another King novel that I haven't read in a VERY long time ) I did re-watch the made for tv movie not too long ago. And I caught a reference to "Big Injun Woods" in it.
That's one of those things I love to read about in your posts, JB. All the recurring places in various King stories. I've never been as good about catching all of those and remembering them.

I was going to save this one, but I figured I'd go ahead. Wolf, my friend, this one is for you In the Stand, when Stu and Tom are looking for a car to get back to Boulder. They come across a very old Plymouth that is still in good condition. Unlike the other cars they have seen there was nobody behind the wheel. The keys are in the ignition and the fob had the initials A.C. So yes, Christine was in the Stand

You're the best. 😊
I never caught that! I read "The Stand" before I read "Christine", and never got that connection. That is just too cool! Thanks again JB! 😄
