Favorite Video Games

I've been obsessed with Witcher 2.

At first I was like, this isn't my type of game, he just goes around and talks and has to create potions.

But then, despite a lot of button mashing when it comes to the fighting, the story and the lead character just really became interesting, and I like how the game gives one different routes to take that affects the morality of Gerarlt. What shocked me however is that there are softcore sex scenes in the game, well two that I've come across so far. Yes, there are custom mods that add sex to games like GTA and Skyrim, but I've never seen a video game maker add the adult content on their own. I mean it doesn't offend me, I'm an adult and I prefer if video games were a bit more adult oriented, but I'm still surprised that the game raised the bar, as far as I know. I mean the Fallout 4 has sex but it fades to black so nothing is seen, and Fallout 4 is pretty adult oriented.

Life is funny, some things move forward, some things move backwards, its like being on a really crazy roller coaster.

With summer here and temps getting into the low 100's, I am spending more time away from the PC and gaming causes the PC to get a little too hot. I kinda wish I lived closer to the beach, but then at the same time I'm like... eh too many tourists...

I wonder if Kids are even into the Witcher, the show is doing really well on Netflix but it's not a simple show to follow. While off topic, its really trippy how most of Netflix's shows are like 8 episodes then that's it for nearly two years until the next season. I'm a child of the 80's, and shows went off in May and came right back in September and seasons were like 20 episodes. This whole 8 episode season thing, and two year breaks, it makes things difficult. I remember when everyone got impatient to find out who shot JR in Dallas and they only had to wait from May until September, but for those who want to know what happens to the characters in Stranger things after the ending of the last season, they have to wait until 2024.

Lately I haven't had time to really play games, Covid is still around, a new variant is headed this way but the lock downs and all that, it won't happen again I don't think. So I've been getting more work done, had to get a newer car since my 97 just totally died, and blah, blah, adult stuff... boring.

But I am still playing Sims 4 here and there and I found an old game but its been remastered, its called Destroy All Humans, and it just amuses the hell out of me. It basically, for those who haven't heard of it, plays into 50's alien stereotypes, and the player plays a big headed alien who goes around giving people in the late 50's I think trouble, and he can brainwash them or destroy them. Its rather fun, not a super in depth game but the humor is wel, funny.

It kind of reminds me Saints Row with an alien, humor/satire wise.

I need to play the second, just need to see if I can tweak it to work on Windows 7, probably can.. see what happens.

It also reminds me of Mars Attacks... but just in a different era. I hope the third, if there's a third, takes place in like the 80's, could be fun.

I'm starting realize that, this community seems to be quite stable.

Not the place to discuss this, but Facebook is totally burning me out. I'll get into that in the chit chat thread, some things are coming that some those who do use FB may not be aware of, and I have this feeling I know what's coming next, and it isn't good but again, save that for a different thread.

As for gaming, I really haven't been playing any new titles, keep going back to the classics. Atari just released some new collection of old Atari 2600 games remastered like Missile Command. Some of those games, despite being simple compared to lets say the Witcher, are still a lot of fun to play. I think my favorite was Centipede but not at home, I liked the arcade table top edition where I could sit down and it had that ball to control the ship that shoots apart the centipede. was just a lot of fun to play at random pizza places.
