I went overkill since GOG had a sale and ended up getting Batman: Asylum Origins as well. Origins is a good game game play wise but they marketed it as a prequel and try to tell his earlier years, that's where they got things wrong. His suit is way too high tech, which makes no sense for him to have earlier than later, and he's way too skilled for him to be just a few years into his career. So now I see why so many give the game negative reviews on various sites. It isn't that the game itself is bad, it just doesn't fit well with the rest of the Arkham story and this isn't the 80's anymore where a video game is just about running around and jumping and/or shooting, the story plays a large role in most modern games, so if the story falls flat, it will hurt the game and Asylum's story falls flat. Another thing that I think that hurt the game with critics, it plays too much like City and too soon. In short, for gamers who don't have tons of time and haven't tried out the Batman games yet, I'd say just buy Arkham City, it has everything that makes Arkam Asylum fun, and so much more. Wiki says the games main story takes nearly 40 hours to beat, if they do the side quests as well its closer to 60, then they added DLC missions later, so I'd say there's over 80 hours one can squeeze out of the game, a game that often goes on sale for 5 dollars on Got, and usually only costs 20. I mean 20 dollars for over 60 hours of game play is well worth it, but 5 dollars for all of that, even more of a treat. As for when the games will go on sale soon, GOG always does a seasonal sale, so I imagine they'll do a big sale the week of easter. That's Gog.com As for console players... well... uh... no clue how that market works. Guess is just up to Walmart and Target when they went to put games on sale.. applouse |

Gog is such a great site. applouse They just need to work out a deal with Ubisoft but I have my doubts because Ubisoft likes PC gamers to use Uplay, and I hate that program... |

I'm bouncing back and forth between Arkham Asylum and Arkham City and I noticed a few things today.
After only 3 hours I'm already 15% through Asylum, after 5 hours I'm only 4% into City. I guess that explains why City is double the file size despite using the same graphic engine. So Wiki isn't lying by saying there's over 40 hours of game play in City. Think I may ask for store credit from Gog for Asylum.
Oh, and I caved, I ordered my first comic in 10 years, well its a trade. I heard Batman rebooted for the third time a few years ago, and I figured if I'm going to get back into comics, may was well start now that Batman has been rebooted. Sounds good, I mean Batman spooked to face Bane but one thing that's a bit odd, Thomas Wayne plays Batman from another Earth. I dig comics but one thing that kinda bugged me about comics even as a kid, the multiple universes. Just seems like a cheap gimmick for the publishers to bring back characters that die when they write themselves into a wall. All comics should follow the same rule as Walking Dead, if someone dies, they stay dead.

I started Arkham City over again because I realized the progress meter is an overall meter, it takes the percentage of the side missions, the trophies, and other things and factors those percentages into the main story progress. When it comes to games with leveling up systems, its always best to do as many side missions early on then work on the main mission so one can have a better upgraded character. So far the only thing that seems off about the game is Harley. She's so much different now, a lot better actually. DC was still getting with the times when they created Harley, and while she was strong, she was too much of Joker's push around girl, so I'm glad they made her totally indie and an equal to the rest of those in the Batman universe.

I finished Arkham City main quest wise and I was right, its only about 40% of the overall game, nearly 60% of the game are the side quests, and Riddler's puzzles. Rather than just roam around and finish things up, I'm going to start over tomorrow and play it by doing a a few of the missions for the main quest, then a few side things, then a few of the riddles. From what I've read, some of the side stuff can't be finished until after the main quest since one has to be Catwoman to do some of the stuff, and one can only switch back and forth when they want to after the main quest is done, otherwise one just plays Catwoman twice for a brief period of time early into the game.
And talk about a difficulty difference between easy and normal, I mean the puzzle stuff is pretty much the same but the brawling, they take nearly 3x the damage in normal, and I'm still getting the hang of the fighting system, there's all sorts of combo's, counters, and quite a few are tricky to pull off.
Its almost time to run through Saints Row 4 again, been awhile. That's usually my "go to" spring/summer game because when the weather heats up its just a release to go insane in that game. I mean all goes in Saints Row 4....

I just realized its Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman in the upcoming Batman film, so totally down for this. While Catwoman is supposed to be white, its odd, she looks more like the white Catwoman from the comic and games than Hathaway and Michelle who are white. Anywho, still no sign of clayface in the game, if he isn't in it, don't spoil it.  I just was hoping he would be but if he isn't it isn't a big issue. for all I know he could have been killed in the comic, haven't read the comic since 92. |

Haha Yup She A Rude Gyal An I Think She Gotta Bright Future In Movies Too.  Well she's off to a good start but in Hollywood there's no guarantees. Megan Fox was very popular for 3-4 years and then Hollywood just got sick of her, so these days she just does underwear ads or something. Of course Megan wasn't as good of an actress as Zoe, Megan was more about just her looks, while Zoe has both. As for Arkham City, this second time around, I'm spacing things out between side quests and the main quest, and I'm only at like 15% complete with everything and I haven't died once and have 10 hours into my second time around. The sequel to Arkham Knights, the last game they made, is going to just be about the Suicide Squad instead of Batman but it's considered part of the overall story. Should be interesting, allows people to play as Deadshot, Harley, etc, think its due out at the end of the year. |

I don't think Fox has ever gotten as many good roles as Kravitz has.
She's not as good as Zoe, I agree. But she's had a few moments.

I wish my kid had the time to play games more, like he used to.
I'd really like to see him play these Arkham games.
(I just don't have the time to watch the tubers do it.
Lol, and they never seem to be as fun to watch as him.
He just commandeers the tv remote, sets up, and makes me watch,

The only game I ever got really good at was 'Destroy All Humans'.
Never got into PS, X-Box...etc. much.
I loved the old arcade games.
Galaga and The Galaxian.
Defender was pretty cool. |
