I think The Old Republic recorded many lines and their different variants. You mean one of the most expensive games ever developed? Not sure. I actually changed my mind, I don't think Bethesda does it to save money. They have tons of npc's with variant dialog all voiced out so to speak, and quite a few can be killed before you even speak to them. So if they could afford that, it isn't a matter of being cheap, its for another reason, a reason that I don't know, and I don't know if it really is worth knowing. Another odd thing, in Oblivion and Skyrim they give the player horses to ride, in Fallout, nada. I mean would it have killed them to have a few motorcycles that still work? Yes, there'd be a shortage of gas in a post apoc world but that could add to the fun, they could have the player have to seek out gas if they want to continue using their transportation. There is gas in Fallout, the train in New Vegas proves it. I wouldn't want cars, i'd prefer just dirt bikes. But well who knows, maybe in Fallout 5.

It looks like we may be getting a third McGee Alice game. The first one was a blind buy, it had just come out and the internet was dead quiet on what it was about, but it was a good blind buy, take Alice and throw her into a gothich world with a gothic look and lots of vivid graphics and violence, total trip. Alice Returns was even better but the DRM caused a few issues, but that was on EA and not McGee. And I have no idea how I forgot to mention that Alice Returns is one of my favorite games, its right up there with Saints Row 4. Anywho, the third could be even better since EA has no say in it, so it will be totally his vision and uncensored by EA. The catch, he has to rely on Paetrom somewhat. www.americanmcgee.com/Paetron has helped some of the bands I know get their music out there, and has done well for modders, so it should work for Mcgee but time will tell. With any luck, if things work, I'd say 2023 when it comes to a release date. But right now he's working on art and writing, the graphics and all the tech stuff hasn't been done yet. I imagine those who donate will get access to demos when it gets to that point, that's how other game makers have handled things. But regardless, I think Alice Asylum will make it... that's the official title for the game at the moment. Damn, Alice is so very, very wicked in the games, almost to the point to where one could think she's the bad one until they actually meet the actual bad guys, they're 10x more wicked.

(damn...that 'Alice' game looks cooler than hell, I'd like to watch that being played.) Its a fun game, but in regards to the third, I'd wait for the reviews, McGee always wanted to go more adult oriented and now that EA isn't on his back, the game may be quite pervy.

Totally makes sense since like Sucker Punch, Mcgee also borrows a lot from the gothic subculture, primarily the loligoth branch of the subculture. Here's an actual screenshot of the last game, Alice: Madness Returns, the second of the series. McGee takes his time though, he's still in sketch mode, and has some of the writing done. I'm already too damn hyped about this game and it isn't even technically a game yet. Just hope he doesn't miss the train, horror is doing really well now due to the pandemic, no solid reason why the pandemic made horror really popular again, but it has. I think I can think of why but eh...

This is Retro City Rampage... It may look like it was made in 1986 for the Nintendo, but its actually from 2014 and totally indie made. The developer wanted to go retro and take the GTA theme and National Lampoon like satire and go old school, and he accomplished that. Yes, some of the humor would be considered anti pc, but game developing is a form of art and an artist should never be restrained by another, should always flow naturally from the artist. And Retro City Rampage is a great game the way it was meant to be by the man who made it, and did quite well. But it isn't only one of my fave games, its an example that going indie games do become big hits, and RCR was a big hit. As for Alice 3, a few other reasons it probably will work, McGee is from Shanghai, not the US, and things are less to make out there. Anywho off to the movie thread.

Like I said, not gonna mention the game until there's more updates but I didn't say I wouldn't make an Alice mod for other games so people can play as her in Sims 4 and fallout: New Vegas. I haven't uploaded them to any modding site yet Boots, credit goes to the game maker, they were already in the game, same with the hair, everything else is tweaked from other stuff or freshly made, so it was a quickie mod, first I've made in awhile. I'd try to make one for Saints Row but I don't know how to tweak clothing in Saints Row, can recolor, but they made that game far harder to mod, sadly.

I'm still tweaking, been playing on Facebook too much so I'm behind on tweaking. Took a long break from FB and came back all sorts of surprises.

Well McGee has already basically made a lot to do Alice 3. This is a new illustration, its called the Trinity because it features Alice in her three stages. Poor Alice, she just has her three stages as her only true companions. Still only illustrations and scripting is being worked on, but the first chapter seems very promising. Bad guy wise, there's going to be some newbies, and the little boy, who they have shadowed out, sounds like he'll be trouble. I may not have mentioned it but Alice in this version of Wonderland isn't a good girl, she's got an inner demon and it can be summoned from time to time. Sounds like that inner demon has a chance of maybe taking over in the third game, time will tell. Getting back to topic, even though if Alice 3 happens, I'm sure it'll end up a favorite... Does anyone have a favorite video game based on a movie? More often than not they suck, they just never get it right, but there are a few gems. Goonies 2 is my favorite movie game, it was different. It was for the Nintendo and one played as the Goonies but it was an entirely new adventure, lots of mazes, puzzles, and other things to discover in order to find the treasure. I was beyond pissed at first, I just expected something different, but it grew on me pretty fast. Can't explain why so many, including myself, liked the Goonies so much, I mean it was uber trendy. Think it was just the fact a lot of kids were able to relate to the characters, and wished they could have an adventure like theirs.

That was a fun one. Dig the game and the film, it was a nice return to what made the first good, one xeno being stealthy and wicked. Aliens is a good film, not saying otherwise, but the first and third own it.

More sketches of what is to come... sooner or later.. Still no clue if this is a prequel, but it is referred to as 3 on some sites so I don't think so. Hard to tell what American will do since he's the Tim Burton of video games, he's not the normal video game developer in other words, to quote him.... "I want to be the next Walt Disney, only a little more wicked." Wiki is saying the game will be done in 2021, not a chance, not even past sketch and script mode yet. But maybe 2022, one could hope... I mean that would be awfully fast but if he uses the same engine from Alice Returns, its possible since it would just involve re-texturing all the bad guys, and tweaking and twisting this or that. F Time will tell...

Sorry if I got information wrong, I just knew that The Old Republic has alot of voice acting(one of the actors is David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake). Plus I know that they have released a number of different expansions over the years. I have only played a little of Oblivion and that was years ago. I have never played any of the Fallout games. Sorry that I don't know about a large number of popular games. I mainly stick to the ones I love since that is what I could afford for the most part.

You didn't get your information wrong, it did have a lot of voice acting, it had a lot of everything because of how much money they spent on it. They got super lucky however, while they totally went over budget, it remained popular long enough for them to make the money back and turn a decent profit. If it didn't last for years, like it did, they would have lost a whole hell of a lot of money. I only boy new games that I know I can get at least 100 hours out of, got 200 out of Oblivion, got about 300 out of SR 3 and 4, and double that for New Vegas, thanks to modders. So really, I don't have the time to play a lot of games, I tend to play the ones I like too much to have the free time to play the others. Still just playing Sims 4, created a new world that's like Salem's Lot where most are vampires, and the humans have to stay on the look out.

One great game purchase I have never regretted was Kingdom Hearts. I had never played it before, and had to choose between getting the first PS3 remaster, or Batman Arkham Origins. I chose Kingdom Hearts cause I knew it had a number of hours in just the first game without counting the card based sequel game. I am glad I waited for Arkham Origins so the major bugs would be fixed when I got it a few months later for my birthday. Is the vampire part of Sims 4 a mod that was created?

Is the vampire part of Sims 4 a mod that was created? Maxis made the vampires and gave them all sorts of various abilities like leveling up and being able to turn into a bat or mist or what have you. However, they obviously didn't give them the ability to kill by draining a human, the human just falls asleep, so I got a mod where they can kill or turn another without my consent, which I prefer. The game by default, the player has to decide, I prefer it happening on its own. Think the werewolves are next, the timing is right since the last add on added chickens, so they can have the werewolves eat the chickens or something.

I started a female empowered video game thread and managed to elaborate on the Saints Row reboot coming out in three more months on that thread rather than oh wait.. this thread isn't for upcoming games either really but it is my favorite video game franchise so I'll do a quick promo here.
Many moons ago a video game company saw how well GTA was doing, or so I imagine, and they were like, we should do something similar but with satire. It doesn't sound like a good idea, or maybe it does but Saints Row was born.
Saints Row 1 I never played it because they didn't make it for the PC, but it was GTA: San Andreas basically but with more satire and one was stuck as the character they made, so it wasn't for me anyways.
Saints Row 2 The PC got a bad port but it was still fun when it wasn't bugging out, and the satire got far better and they allowed one to create their own character. One flaw, to get move forward in the game, they made some timed side missions that had to be completed, and some of them were a pain because the port had really bad driving controls. However, it was still a lot of fun, total parody of GTA, and lots of action and craziness.
Saints Row 3 The story moved forward, they became reality tv stars to mock the world of reality tv making bad people look cool, and poked fun at other things but there was still a story that had depth and it was made for the pc, so the controls were excellent, and basically bug free and there was just a lot more to do in the game.
Saints Row 4 They moved to more political satire after the end of 3 which made fun of Black Water and the war on terror, and went crazy with things and made fun of politics, the Matrix, while still having a very cool story and lots of cool music but the earth went boom so they couldn't think of where to go with the 5th... and sooo...
Saints Row Its a reboot but one will be the leader of the Saints again but this time rather then coming from a gang background, the leader comes from a start up company who uses gangs to gain power and profit. Same game play in many ways, but lots of added new stuff to do, and the ability to create "bunkers" sorta.
Little tidbits... many have wondered why the Saints favorite color is purple, its simple, they see themselves as royals and purple is a royal color.
Gat was never meant to survive the second game, which is why they killed him off early in the third. After a lot of fans complained they figured out a way to bring him back however, which worked out for the best.
Saints Row 3 came out on the same day as Skyrim and Skyrim didn't outright beat it sales wise, was a close race which is impressive for a game like Saints Row going up against a monster like the Elder Scrolls series.
Who I recommend Saints Row to? Anyone who likes GTA gameplay and enjoy South Park or National Lampoon films.
Who I don't recommend Saints Row to? Children... way too raunchy.
