It's pretty cold right now - minus 17 but there's a wind chill Yes thanks for asking - made sweet and sour meatballs with rice for supper then just relaxed by the fire and watched TV.

Mmmmm - chicken strips - that sounds yummy - we make our own Honey Dill dip using mayo, liquid honey and dried dill weed - it's very good with chicken strips

Can't sleep, been awake since 2am will probably get up in the next few minutes and go downstairs and watch a movie or something.

When I was younger I needed a solid eight hours of sleep or I could not function. Now I can get away with about six during the week but usually try to sleep in on weekends (I think over there you call that a "lie-in")

@notaro - I don't know how you manage not sleeping. I had a little brush with madness a while ago and my doctor's first priority was to get me sleeping - it's important to your overall health. But I know how it goes - the harder you try, the worse it is. Sleepytime vibes coming your way. Hoping for a cure for you.
TGIF - I mean that from the bottom of my heart. OMG what a dreadful week. My co-worker has been sick since last Friday. I'm all on my own - doing all the things. Plus - our boy hit a deer. No one was hurt, but you know the drill: insurance claim, getting rental car, juggling it all until finally it's settled. Of all bad timing - I cannot find my driver's license. So I couldn't rent a car - I had to work it around the Ogre's schedule so he could pick it up. It was not fun. Nope.
I've done something to my little toe's toenail. I don't know what. It hurts. But I'm not flexible enough to get my face close enough to see for real what it is. Maybe I'll take a picture with my phone and see if I can figure it out.
One of our Christmas presents from the Ogre: he got me and our girls tickets to see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory at the Orpheum. So Wednesday night we did that. It was incredible. It was fantastic. I smiled the whole night. It paid homage to both movies and of course, the novel, while adding some interesting bleakness and humor - I absolutely loved it - so did the girls. I'd go see it again if I could. I think tonight is the last night and my toenail hurts too bad.
I didn't get all my work stuff done today, so I'll be working some tomorrow and Sunday. But I'm off on Monday - so is the Ogre. So we're going to Saturday on Monday.
I need to get my roots done and my hair cut. I'm showing my age. That's all I got - nothing much happening right now. Happy weekend Tet!
