Sleep well @notaro ! Thanks morgan, I managed to sleep for just over two hours, that's about normal for me. I suffer from insomnia too, but nothing like that! The worst is usually 3-4 hours of sleep, waking up after the Benadryl and melatonin wear off. How do you do it? Seriously, how do you function?! And you have a very physical job, right? I can't even imagine. IIRC, you said that this has been the norm for you for quite some time. My mind is blown. I am going to put you in my nightly prayers for better sleep.

I honestly don't know how I function, it's just normal for me at this stage, once week I'll sleep for about seven hours and I'll feel refreshed and then it's back to my usual couple of hours for the other nights, I used to get up and pace around the house but mostly now I'll stay in bed and just listen to a radio play or watch a movie on my ipod until it's time to get up.

Notaro I feel so badly for you, it must be difficult, to say the least. Do you have sleep clinics in your country to diagnose the problem and what to do about it.

I leave for Vancouver later to visit my daughter. Will be back late Tuesday night.
To all our Canadian members, have a lovely Thanksgiving with friends and family. If you are travelling, be safe.

I discussed with my GP years ago and he mentioned sending me to a clinic or something like that for an overnight stay for observation but nothing came of it and I didn't follow it up, I just accept it as part of my life, I don't sleep much, I just get on with it and be thankful for the sleep I get

Looking out the window and SMDH.
Me too morgan - did you get that heavy wet snow too?
It's weighing down all the trees. I heard as many as 27000 people are without power as a result. Luckily we still have our heat and hydro, thank goodness!
I also just realized - if I was still working I would have had to travel through that awful stuff to get to work - I wonder how many people called in "sick" today? (I would not blame them)

I'm starting my Christmas shopping list. Yeah, I know it's still only October, but I always plan out what I want to get for each person early in the fall. That way, I can budget for higher priced items and squirrel away the cash without dipping into my regular accounts, or going into debt.

Today at work, a bird slammed so hard into the window that it rattled. I went outside hoping that the poor thing had just knocked itself out. I picked it up, and tried blowing air into it's beak, and even tapped its little chest lightly, improvising CPR for a bird. It opened its eyes briefly, and breathed in, but the poor little thing had broken its neck and didn't survive. I have to say, my heart is broken a little bit.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that Sundrop ! God bless you for caring enough to try to save him. It sounds like it happened quickly, so he didn't suffer. And the last thing he felt was your kindness. I'm crying now.
Last year on my birthday, a bird froze to death and fell out of the tree in front of my mom's trailer. He was so beautiful and perfect. Mother nature is very cruel sometimes.
Big hugs to you, Sunny.

I'm buying a suncatcher or something to hang in the window, so hopefully it won't happen again.

Dropped my daughter into work for 10am then collected my father in-law and dropped him to 11am mass, sitting outside the church in the car now waiting for mass to finish to bring him back to my house for dinner.

This is more of a What did you do yesterday post...
I woke up feeling a bit queasy then had a long bath. Heard the phone ringing while I was in there but forgot about it after I got out.
Couldn't eat anything but I had an herbal tea then drove to the Cycling class. Got there and thought "Wow - look at all the good parking today!" I guessed some people hadn't shown up then found out when I got in there the instructor had called in sick
Then like a numpty I went into the washroom to put some makeup on - while there I saw in the mirror behind me a urinal and thought "What kind of weird washroom is this?" I actually said it out loud then the cubicle door opened and an elderly gentleman came out at the same time a younger man came in the main door. He was heading for the urinal so I quickly gathered up my stuff and apologized while making a break for it!
Turns out they (the fitness facility) had phoned and left a message about the class but I didn't check the phone before leaving.
Oh well - I decided to go get a manicure for a change so managed to get something done.

Had to work, but not for very long. Stopped by Goodwill and bought a shirt for my mom. Went to the grocery store. Doing laundry now. Exciting stuff! It rained all day and it would've been a good day for that chili neesy . But I'm too tired and chilled to start a project like that right now.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Hi morgan - chilly here too and they are predicting more snow!
I need to get at my laundry as well - it is piling up.
Our election yesterday is over now - Trudeau got in again but it's a Liberal minority government. (Enough about all that)
I'm just trying to stay warm today - got the furnace cranked up to 20, oven in kitchen is on at 450 etc.
Take care and guess we'll see everyone over at the SKMB! animierte-smilies-winter-038

Had a visit from my nurse yesterday. No good news.
The toxins are making me swell up, and my blood pressure is up. My breathing is the hardest problem. I can walk from my desk to the couch, and be out of breath. She said I am really delining now.
