Couldn`t sleep last night, so i looked outside the window and saw a hedgehog playing with a pudding cup. Very entertaining. I would have loved to see that Commander. I imagine how cute that be. 🥰 I'm glad you got to see it.

Today was a busyish one. Showed up to my "insurance" job and was greeted by higher ups who wanted some stuff cleaned up from observance held yesterday to honor the young lady I graduated with who was a stewardess on Flight 93. Did that. Then immediate supervisor had pulley shear off bolt on lawnmower when bearing seized up and sent me to local shop for parts. Got them. Then put pulley on for him. Then moved bookcase for teacher who been complaining about not having one forever, i.e. since yesterday. Then cleaned up where students eat outside on concrete (in 100 degree heat index) instead of air conditioned cafeteria. Then cleaned 7 bathrooms, 7 classrooms and an assistant principal's office. All of this in a 7 hour work day. Oh forgot about fixing stall door in girl's bathroom that some young lady decided to swing on hard enough to remove from two of the three hinges. Came home and went and checked fence for short that I did find after a couple of hours. Fixed that. Came home (again) and showered. Ate supper then sat down to watch the horrid Carolina Panthers play something akin to football. (Still watching it ugh).
Tomorrow is another day.
(But two of my three babies coming in for weekend so yeah)

(But two of my three babies coming in for weekend so yeah) I have some painting that needs to be done, if you're interested. Doesn't pay much, but I do have air conditioning, it's much cooler here, anyway, and I know what real BBQ should look and taste like.......Just tossin' that out there

neesy Those are really pretty kitchen rugs! I found some just yesterday - on Amazon with my Chase Amazon points. I charge my life away on Chase Amazon every month, but pay it off promptly and get about $40 a month in freebies. It's so much fun. I went with a multi colored stripey thing. Living room is red mostly. I'm not sure what the kitchen is going to be. Once the Ogre is all settled into his football coma, I'll start painting. It'll be spring before he notices. I'm partial to pink these days. How about a rose gold kitchen?
morgan - (((((you and your momma))))) I hope things look better today. I think of you all the time.
I too am looking forward to The Institute. Cannot wait!!!! I will buy that one new, hot off the presses.
Wow - it's late. But I just got started!!
I'm glad Monday's over. It's all downhill from here!!
Taco Tuesday is on the horizon!!
Hi Holly and Happy Friday! TGIF
It's so cold and yucky here right now - only 8 degrees C and rainy
They're predicting much warmer temps for this coming weekend so I hope that's the case - my poor tomatoes have stopped turning red
On the squirrel front I finally put both humane traps away for the season as it is getting too close to the coming winter.
The final count was 15 red squirrels, 5 grey squirrels, one cat and two raccoons.
The squirrels were relocated to outlying areas (mostly Kildonan Park) and the cat was released as were the two raccoons.

We used to have one of those - it was an African pygmy hedgehog but we ended up giving it away - the whole kit and caboodle - cage and all

thekidd12 Dadblasted day ! I had one kind of like that - we have so many events and so many folks don't clean up after themselves. I had to set up for an early morning class for tomorrow - and when I walked into the fellowship hall at 4:30pm today, it was blown apart. Someone had an event in there last night that no one told me about. I hauled 10 bags of garbage to the dumpster, had to sweep, clean up bathrooms - it was crazy. Stupid table set up - I had to put many up and pull down the right ones - haul in the chairs!!! I'm the admin. We don't have maintenance - we expect people to clean up after themselves- - leave a place as good as you found it, if not better. Le sigh. Who's brilliant idea is that? Sometimes there's days like this - my momma said. Let's just forget about it. All in a day's work. At least we're up, moving around, getting younger every day! I went in at 8am didn't get home until 7pm, went straight to the bubble bath with a vodka cocktail in my hand. Much better now. I'm on number #3 and still not toasted. THAT'S how bad my day was. My ringer is off and I'm not looking at my phone until Monday. You neither - enjoy your kid's visits!!!! It's the freakin' weekend!!! Our son is supposed to move out tomorrow. I'm not even sad. What's that about?? I think they don't really understand home until they don't live there anymore. Things should become very clear soon.
neesy - cold, you are? Jesus God Almighty. It's been over 100 here every day for 10 days, and we've got another week at least of that. We got a late summer. When we were on vacation in mid-June we had the best spring like weather. We are paying for it now. We didn't even plant tomatoes this year but when I was watering the wildflower patch the other day - we had a little green tiny tomato growing. I'm going to eat it when it's ready.
I'll need to watch IT #1 before I see the second part. I know, it's ridiculous that I haven't seen it. But I hear it's terrifying, and I don't want to have all my book images blown. I thought the 90s miniseries was good enough. Not great, but I watched all of it. I would like to take myself to see Once Upon a Time in America - I love Q. Tarrentino, and hotties Brad Pitt and Leo D. I wonder if it's still playing anywhere.
neesy somewhere you asked me if I was in the church photo you saw on my Facebook. Our new Bishop is just fantastic! He does a photo like that every time he visits a parish. I was NOT in the photo because right after communion I had to go out to the Narthex and start setting up the reception food - pft!! But I was in my office when the Bishop arrived and got to have a little chat with him before Mass. If you are able to see the photo above that one - the one that Deacon posted, you'll see my beautiful friend Jazmin (Yahz-MEEN) in her gorgeous huipil dress - the black dress with the peacock embroidered on it - she's my good friend. Our priest is right beside her. My people. Also the mushrooms - the mushroom posts are from my daughter's boyfriend - he has his own mushroom farm. Support your local farmers!!!
Friends, I wish we were sitting together somewhere. Mayhap someday in somewhen.
wolf - it's so hard for me to take photo, email it to myself, download it, upload it. Good Lord. I swear I took pictures last night. That's as far as I got. There's the weekend - mayhap I'll get it done.

Except maybe Neesy's sunflowers, Sundrops watermelons, or Notaro's pic's of Kilmashogue.

I'm relieved!! wolf - I felt like such a loser when I didn't have time to get to that. I have loved Steampunk (without knowing what it was) forever. I think most Roald Dahl books are steampunkish. And I love Tim Burton movies. Anyhow - it's all good!! The Ogre made our bathroom toilet paper holders and towel holders steampunk and the artwork in the bathroom and bedroom is steampunk. Let's see if this worked: OK - I'm going to try Yeah - how about I do that when I'm not drinking? LOL

Dahl and Burton are good stuff. I think I remember hearing or reading about Dahl being associated with steampunk before. It fits! Your bathroom sounds wonderful, man! Do bring those pic's when you have time, and feel up to it. I'm sure everyone will love to see them. I know I'd like to.
