Just arrived in work, thank God it's Friday, tea first then I'll see what's in store for me today.  Thanks Wolf, not too bad today, going into various occupied houses to re-do bits and pieces, home owners have been really polite and friendly, that's always a bonus when you don't have to argue with anyone about what they want you to do and what you are actually going to do for them. |

I just got the boy off to work this morning, and I'm watching the news now.
His dad has the day off, so he gets to go out on another leadmans's truck.
They get along famously and he'll have a really good day today.
I used to work with this guy too, when I was at the shop.
I love it when he comes home and tells who he saw and where he was and what he was doing.
Whenever I think I might miss it all, I just remember that I don't have to crawl around in attics or under houses, or deal with the difficult and /or unreasonable characters anymore. |

I have empathy for most of the home buyers, they spend half a million euros on a house they pretty much want it to be flawless, so with that in mind we try to reach a happy medium with the standard of finished work. |

The unreasonable and difficult ones most times seem to demand over and above what they have paid for. They 'don't get what they want, but they get what they need' and what they pay for.  Exactly! |

I took a day off.
Grocerie shopping, acclompished some chores.
Then i took a walk, wearing my SKMB Shirt (((neesy)))
Then i was sitting at the lake, listening some Rob Zombie and Santana (((pegasus2161)))
It was a nice day.

I have had a pretty full day. Went to watch the littles play soccer this morning. They were supposed to play 2 games but ended up only playing 1.
Oldest took my 2 youngest to their house from the game to spend the day. I came home, had lunch, did dishes and then dug into cleaning cupboards and countertops. Got the top set of cupboards done on one wall. Countertops cleared off, cleaned. Canisters and Cookie jar washed off. Silverware drawer cleaned out. (How does the silverware drawer even get dirty??) And the little bit of wall between the cupboards and countertops wiped down.
Cooked early since hubby on nights. Pork chops, fries and pasta salad.
Now I am sitting here by my lonesome. Enjoying a little quiet. I was hoping to have all the cupboards done on that side but still need to do the bottom row. But I think that is good for today. It is a good start to one of those chores I hate to do.
Will have my dinner in a bit. 🙂

I am not doing it, the kids are doing it later today.
Our dog, Phoenix is going to be thrown into the pool !! Then the pool is going to be emptied for the year.
Then she has got to get a bath!
Next week-end is Pow Wow, but I won't get to go.

That doesn't sound fun for her.
If y'all are going to empty the pool for the year, they could make use of the pool water and wash her while they are playing. I used to do that at the lake with my dog. Years ago......he's been gone a long time now. |

It's a bank holiday here plus Josh took Tuesday off as well, as a vacation day

cat I spent my day cleaning too !! I didn't get to the inside of the cupboards but I desperately need to. Got the kitchen, living room and dining clean, top to bottom. Wiped ceilings, walls, baseboards, dusted, vacuumed, fluffed cushions. I'm beat! Fall Cleaning! I rarely get to Spring Cleaning - Sept/Oct are my big cleaning months. I need to get the front and back stair cases done this week. Having 2 dogs and carpet on the stairs is just a mess. And my front door - there's spiderwebs everywhere. I want to paint my front door. I wish I could be brave and do bright pink like DanaJean did.
pegasus216 - I meant to say "Hey" in the Ka-Tet Cantina!! I'm sorry. That's fun that the dog gets to swim before you close the pool down. Our YMCA does the same thing - everyone takes their dogs on Aug 31st to swim. I wish you could go to the Pow-Wow - does anyone post it online on Youtube? Maybe you can watch it. I think of you often! You are strong and amazing and brave.
Today I have also been trying to find some kitchen rugs - mine are kaput. But there are so many choices - Amazon and Wayfair are killing me. I love online shopping though. I'm going to paint my kitchen soon. Need some rugs to go with. At least the kitchen is clean. I think I'm going to do something green in the kitchen. It's been so boring. Or maybe blue?
