Hi there - Josh is actually very happy to have these ugly toenails removed. Yes it does hurt but mostly from the injections used for anesthesia. Every day he has to soak his foot in warm water with 1/4 cup of salt in it, then let it dry. After that we put on a special dressing called Bactigras.
It's looking very good and the doctor was pleased that it's healing well.
He goes back in three weeks and she will probably ask him when he wants the left one off.
Oh yes - by the way - the 'middle finger' toenail pic is not directed at you! I just thought it was funny

Yikes. Hope the sun will come out for you and spideyman soon. I have done nothing today. Slept in a bit. Last weekend before school starts. Was at orientation with my 7th grader yesterday. Up and down 4 flights of stairs all day, he has classes all over the building, on all floors. I don't know if it was that, or just my general being, but I am hurting today. All over. So I probably won't do much today. But it was worth it because he feels much more confident about starting big junior high. I'm so glad. Been worried. I will still worry, but the difference in his attitude and body language was night and day from when we got there to when we left. In a very good way. |

August is a big month for us - my birthday is Aug 13, our youngest daughter's is the 19th (I got to choose the date -she was a breech c-section baby - 19 is intentional nod to SK), my mother in law's birthday is August 21 and my inlaw's anniversary is Aug 26th. My co-workers' birthday is Aug 26th and all 3 of our Deacons have an August birthday. And two of my friends share a birthday with me. So August feels like a non-stop party. Plus school starts back - ARGH!! I wish school would hold off until after Labor Day - I hear that may be in the works for us next year.
Anyhow.... tonight we let our youngest have a 16th birthday party. There are 15-20 teenagers downstairs with food and music while the Ogre and I are sequestered to the bedroom. He watched Bad Times at the El Royale - I took a bubble bath and have had 2 vodkas - that was a very confusing movie - I don't get it. Party is still going on. Stop time is in 4 mins. THEY ARE SO NOISY.
But all is well! I made my way here. Way safer to post here than Facebook. I think I just posted some song lyrics on the Bishop's wall.
We had a good day. We got the grocery shopping done early - before the crowd. We had lunch at the antique mall and then went on a scavenger hunt in the mall. We take pictures of the weirdest stuff we can find. I won. Ran into some friends. That was fun - tried to explain our game. Ha!
