Most know him as Ivan The Terrible. And Eeyore is far toooooo optimistic for me. I relate more with Marvin from the movie 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.'
You can't be all that pessimistic diobolic
You bet your bippy I can.

I got the wife a new dryer. She wanted a front loading one and not top loading. It was delivered Sunday. She hates the thing. The door opens from the side and not downward as she is used to. There will be no peace in the household until the ‘right’ dryer takes the place of the new evil dryer. I looked last night. Apparently front loading dryers with a door that opens downward is going by the way of the dinosaur. Out of 20 some dryers only 3 models have doors that open downward. One needs water because it dries with steam (huh?), the other opens sideways but has a special latch which allows you to also open it downward (which is a pain), and one that opens downward. So she has exactly one model to choose from. We’re going tonight because even though she only has the one to choose from, I’m not taking the blame if she doesn’t like it. Then I’ll have to arrange for them to pick up the other dryer, get credit for it, buy and set up delivery on the new dryer. I told the story to a girl at customer service last night. She laughed and said I needed to understand and deal with the fact ‘HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE.’ Dear god, please take me now. Spidey stepping out of zen zone--- your wife should just be plain happy to have a dryer- period! One would think a down-load door is "more difficult " to use. you have to lean/ bend over that door. Not get as close to the dryer and reach in. Understand the need to "agree" for your safety sake- but maybe she needs two poles and some rope.
How goes the chipmunk proofing the garden?
Tell it Lady! Tell it!

LOL. She’d use that rope and a tree limb and a stool and tell me to jump. Her and the youngest daughter hate change… it’s pathological. here must be a medical term for it. It rained too hard Wednesday evening to put up the cage. I’ll try again tomorrow. The fear of change or changing things is called Metathesiophobia. The origin of the word Metathesiophobia comes from Greek ‘meta’ meaning change and phobos meaning fear S/he tends to live in the past and may also be depressed. Their phobia makes them unwilling to move, to progress or to change anything from routine. Excellent sharing Lady! Dio needs to think"Phoebos" not Phobos

Don’t take anything I say seriously, ever. So let it be written… do let it be done. Just think… he’s being a dumbass, again.

I hear that from all the gals. Except from Ms Mod who continually misspells 'love' as 'loath.'

Just spoke to my oldest daughter. The family went to the Drive-In theater they have in their town last weekend. The Drive-In is more a social experience in the community than a movie experience. It’s the last of its kind and the last Drive-In in the country that shows 35 mm films on 70-year-old twin side-by-side projectors. They exclusively show 35 mm films and have persuaded some studios and collectors to open their vaults, and started working with Exhumed Films in Philadelphia to bring the B-rated horror movies the Drive-In is famous for. So there’s not a lot of newer movies being shown there. I think the daughter told me they saw “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, 1992.

There’s a Drive-In theater about 3 miles down the road from where I live, but they show all the new releases and have 2 screens. It’s been operating since 1946. Their homemade pierogies and funnel cake are to die for, and make cotton candy on site. We do love our nostalgia around these parts.
