Finally figured out how to access my account to get lab results. I am immune to measles. (Wanted checked because I have no memory of ever being in contact with, and at most had one vaccine.) dr decided to run a few other tests as well, and I am now showing as “at risk” for diabetes. Oh Oh
I think you can avoid having to take meds if you become a bit more active and change your diet (lots of fresh fruits and vegetables etc.)
Even a simple walk outside when it's not too cold out.
Now having said that - it's awfully cold out there in mid February. animierte-smilies-winter-038
Sending you lots of healing vibes that it doesn't get worse.
Hope this does not sound like unsolicited advice - I had a blood test back in November and luckily it did not show anything that might be a precursor to diabetes (keeping my fingers crossed).
I really should follow my own advice when it comes to getting outside - it's a beautiful sunny day here, even if it is cold! vLKv0KBMamIvOtLdRwqZ

We have just started improving our diet.
I did start doing some “walk at home” exercises, but I do need to get more active. I got a Fitbit for Christmas and I am upping my daily requirement....trying to get to that 10,000 steps I should do. I also have it set so if I don’t have 250 steps in an hour it reminds me to move. (When I start sewing I lose track of time.)
No major weight loss (about 8 pounds, but that could be more water than anything else). HOWEVER, the bracelet has holes like a belt. When I first started wearing it I had 6 holes beside the one that fit. I was almost at the 5-hole size and quickly switched to that. Yesterday I noticed I was wearing it at 4 holes. Now, my wrist is not where I specifically wanted to lose weight.....but I’m counting it. Lol

Yeah, this site cannot distinguish between a curse word and the same sequence of letters when they appear in a larger non-curse word. LOL Let me see if it still does it. d**kens. Yep. Try again Charles Dickens

tfw you misinterpret the instructions for a project, and thought you only had to do 1 of the 5 options, but you actually had to do all 5 options, but you get a 20, but 100/5 is 20, meaning you technically got a 100 for what you did

We had another Winter Weather Advisory/blizzard conditions today. (It was actually above zero for the second time in six weeks though!) Had to venture out to get to the health food store - been out of an important supplement I need for over three days. Plus my mom needed me to go to the store for her. I saw TEN vehicles in the ditch on the interstate (three when I left and seven on my way back)! That's the most I've ever seen in one day. Scary.

What am I doing today? Same thing I do every day. Drawing! Working on this guy. I've been watching tutorials by real comic artists, and found out that I'm doing it right, for the most part. But I've been doing it backwards. I've been coloring first, then inking lines over top, when I should have been inking first. And that makes total sense. When I do the colors first, I hesitate to ink in heavy shadows and cover up the pretty colors. But the heavy shadows, hash marks and ink lines are comic book signatures. I'm learning.
