@kurben ?.....Kurbie darlink! Do you have any suggestions/recollections on how first writer, and the following writers were chosen? 😊 .....I am quite interested knowing more about this myself, and I do believe your input here will help Miss doyoulove19 out some. That was a question she asked, wasn't it?

Since asked i think that the editor used to ask where they preferred to write. Usually people didn't mind so much unless it was first or last. Then they mentioned it. I knew that the first years i wrote i specifically asked not to be first or last but that anywhere inbetween would be fine. Now i dont mind where i end up in the writing order. First and last writer are a bit trickier i think. When youre last you must try to tie up all the loose ends in a nice ending and thats something even professional writers fail at sometimes and they dont have a wordlimit!! Setting the stage and getting the story going and creating the atmosphere of the story all at once is also tricky. I think earlier editors used to draw lots about the order with the exception for first and last since they had to be willing to do that. I think the editor asked in a pm if he/she were willing to be last or first and if he/she said yes it was decided. But it is possible different editors used different means of deciding writing order. I have only been taking part of the Halloween story since 2014.

I Think it a Great Idea but i Worry iWill Lose Track of Words an Stuff because i dont Have Good Memory. I Will Do My Best though an Thanks i Hope everyone is Understand to me this the First time i ever Write a Story too.  I am Really excited to Be Involve in This though it Will Be Fun.

There are people in here who have said they are willing to go first if needed to, or are willing to be placed anywhere.
So, I think, it might be possible she could decide to have 3 drawings from a hat! For beginning and end. And for all points in between!
That would be cool.
Maybe on the first drawing she might just exclude the names of people who definitely do not want to go first.....or last.....in the conclusion drawing.
Whatever she comes up with, it'll be fun and interesting, I am sure! 😊

Hello folks! In keeping to the time line, I will now post the rules... in really large font size!
1 - Word count - 750 per chapter (first and last chapter will have a waiver on word count)
2 - writing should be done in third person
3 - This is a horror story. Gore, thrills and suspense are expected, but remember that this is a forum open to various ages, etc., so Keep it PG, please!
4 - Unless you are writing the final chapter, your part should advance the story, not end it! Have fun with introducing characters, killing off characters, etc. but don't go rogue and kill everyone off in chapter 2. I will edit you!
5 - Be kind to each other! There are folks from various levels on this project. Some may have never written anything but a to-do list before this. It is not your job to correct their part of the story. Once it's been published, both they and I will be happy with it as it is.
Veteren writers - what have I forgotten that needs to be stated out loud as a rule?

......and honestly, I would really prefer to be a writer anywhere in the middle of the story, like diobolic and mary have said. It's nice to see so many of y'all willing to be placed anywhere! It's makes things really more interesting I think. Random drawings are fun! 😄
