No Prufrock. Please don't do that. It's not up to us. It's up to Miss Doyoulove.
There are people in here who have said they are willing to go first if needed to, or are willing to be placed anywhere.
So, I think, it might be possible she could decide to have 3 drawings from a hat! For beginning and end. And for all points in between!
That would be cool. Maybe on the first drawing she might just exclude the names of people who definitely do not want to go first.....or last.....in the conclusion drawing.
Whatever she comes up with, it'll be fun and interesting, I am sure! 😊
Catching up on everyone's posts from last night and this morning guys! Thanks so much for all the input!
I think us doing that helps her out a lot! 😊 Everyone have a wonderful Sunday. Personally speaking, I think wolf's suggestion has a lot of merit, and everyone understands doyoulove19 has the final say in the matter. Some of us, including me, would prefer not to go either first or last, especially not having ventured into something like this before. But there are brave souls who are willing to start and/or finish the story. I like the idea of putting the people who are willing to start us off put into a hat and draw a name who goes first. Then put the people who are willing to end the story into a hat and draw a name for who brings it to a conclusion. The remaining people then are drawn for their spots in-between. Everyone gets to be in their own personal comfort zone.
Just an idea. Thanks for listening.

Just an idea. Thanks for listening. Very sensible thought, i think, Dio! We'll see what DoYou decide but i think your suggestion is good. For me personally i dont care where she puts me, first, last or inbetween. I'll write where i'm told to write. It is important to, as much as it is possible , respect peoples wishes where not to write.

......and honestly, I would really prefer to be a writer anywhere in the middle of the story, like diobolic and mary have said. It's nice to see so many of y'all willing to be placed anywhere! It's makes things really more interesting I think. Random drawings are fun! 😄
thekidd12 ? Hey Kidd! .....I know you'll keep your eye on the ball! 😄😉

I have an idea. Those who wish to go first should write their version of the first chapter, and then doyoulove can pick the version that has the most potential. This seems wiser than leaving it to the luck of the draw. Also, it has been my experience that no heavy criticism should be made until the story is complete. This will encourage everyone to continue to write and do their best.

Hey folks, great discussion over the weekend! Thank you all for your input. First off - @kurban - excellent point! Yes, we can have word limits for first and last. No sagas needed! I like the 1500 count so will confirm with the first and last writer. Now on to that...
Everyone but @woowoo001 has chimed in, so holler him here to give his two cents!
Middle parts - Dizzy , diobolic , wolf , mary Anywhere - @kurben , darkharbinger , docpain2, thekidd12 Asked for first - prufrock21
If no one objects, I would say, since prufock21 has volunteered, we will let him go first. I will draw from the group that is ok going anywhere for our last writer, then I will confirm with that person that they really are ok with it, then the rest of the group will be put into the proverbial hat and I will select and post the rest of the writing order.
Sound ok?

Whatever you ultimately want to do, Miss doyoulove19 , is perfectly fine with me. I do like the idea of prufrock being a first writer.....but honestly....would like to see others have a chance at it and to hear from @woowoo001 too. Just my humble opinion as a writer here, ma'am. Not arguing with you in any way. ♥️ 😊
Grin Willard, please, when you have a moment, come give us your thoughts on this matter. It would be greatly appreciated. 😊

I have thought about this. And the reason why I never wanted to go first, is so that others would not be confined by MY wants in any......but I can do it. And I'm throwin' my Stetson in as 1st writer too. Specifically saying that "I'm in" as being drawn for 1st writer.
IF that is alright with everyone. Especially YOU Miss doyoulove19. If ANYONE has an objection, please say so. And I will step down.
I would like to see all the writers who are willing to be placed anywhere have a shot at this. No offense to you, prufrock21. You and others here, would make a very fine 1st writer.
Thank you all. Everyone, please have a wonderful day. 🙂

But should Miss doyoulove19, like and want to entertain this suggestion....then I have already got my first paragraph finished. ......it's good practice for the upcoming adventure.
And I am letting everyone know I am serious about this particular endeavor we are embarking on. 😊 And know we are all going to have so much fun, suspense, intrigue! And probably tragedy to comedy and all points in between with this beautiful beast we are about to create! 😄😉
I hope others will want to come on and give first writer ago too. Just speaking my mind and heart as a wanna be author, my self. 🙂
Thank you for your consideration, everyone. 🙂

Well I am most definitely more of a Constant Reader than a writer. However it appears we have at least a couple of people who have their own ideas on who should go first. Determining this is above my pay grade so as I have said before put me in coach and I will perform as best I can in whatever role. (That was a run on sentence huh? Told ya more of a reader). Anyway time is almost here so let the games begin. Take it from a guy who died twice in one night: Have fun people!!!

I'm confirming my in the "middle of the story" pick, if I can have the choice. It seemed Miss Doyoulove19 wanted to be sure about that with everyone.

The majority here aren't authors and shouldn't be considered as such. Some of us signed on merely to keep a cherished tradition alive. Criticism will only deter people from partaking again next year. If some of the writers want a critique over what they wrote then they should ask for it.

You're all definitely right. Unless you've had experience writing and receiving criticism, criticism should remain light. Don't want to scare away anyone from participating. Then again, we might want to scare you with our story.

In the event nobody noticed, I'm ready to go. So let the writing begin. Everybody noticed. We will wait to see what doyoulove says. You're not running this prufrock. And no one's writing order has been decided yet. And no one needs to be criticizing anyone around here. So just cool your heels there a little bit, Scooter.
