So, lemme clarify. I'm not looking for a stock answer on who you think the best guitarist is.
I wanna know who your personal favorite is. They don't have to be universally accepted as the best. if you say Hendrix, I want you to say it because he's your personal favorite.
If you like Samantha Fish or the guy from Poison, list 'em!

For me it's this guy. Yes, he's considered by many to be the greatest, but his innovation and musical talent had me hooked since I bought the VH album on cassette in 1979. I even bought his signature guitar, that's how much I love this guy.

Oh, I play it. I mean, it's a replica, so it looks EXACTLY like the one in the picture. It's even aged, distressed and weathered. It very well could be a showpiece item to gaze at lovingly, but no, I play it. I LOVE it. Now, if I could just play Eruption....

Not that I really know how to play...I'm just not very good at letting collectibles simply sit around and be collectibles. I like to actually use 'em sometimes. That's part of loving them.

For me a very good guitarist who you may not have heard of is Bruce Cockburn
(he's Canadian)

Yeah, it's definitely not a Spinal Tap situation where the tag is still on it, where it can't be touched, looked at or even pointed at.

Buck Dharma, of course. Walter Becker as well. Buck is good ... but the riff master ... Tony Iommi.

Speaking of 80's dudes, somewhere in this vast Covid infected world of ours, there's someone who thinks the guitarist from Warrant is the greatest ever. Probably his mom.
