You saw Yes twice? Me too. One of the concerts had gigantic psychedelic mushrooms over each member of the band. Rick Wakeman was fantastic. I didn't have front row seats, though. Jon's voice is exactly the same now as it was then, guy's an Angel. Disgrace that he hasn't been asked to re-join the tribute band that calls themselves YES now.
To each his own. I love Jon Davison's voice. Damn, now that I think about it, I have seen YES three times- but only twice in the front row.

But we had Rick Wakeman's son, not Rick . I saw them more recently- Jon Anderson was long gone. 2015 & 2016, I think...I saw them in 1973 and 1974, I believe.

Just saying..Some others I’d consider great guitarists that I’ve seen play in concerts, besides Eric Clapton and Steve Howe, are Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Tony Iommi, Neil Young, Angus Young, Steve Vai, Joe Perry, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Mike Campbell, Johnny Winter, George Harrison, Stephen Stills, and Carlos Santana. Probably more, but I cant think of them off hand.

Shame about the music on that album. But if you are listening to Close to the Edge, who would you rather hear? Jon Davison or Jon Anderson? Also, do you notice that Jon Davison has the same gear that Jon wore back in the day? Weird.

But that's what I'm saying, Jon Davidson never wore any of the hippie stuff before he joined Yes, the type of hippie stuff that Jon Anderson wore back in the day with Yes, but as soon as Jon Davidson joined the band, he started to do so. Maybe the audience will think that Jon hasn't aged a day.

Maybe the audience will think that Jon hasn't aged a day. This article from 2018 shows JD's response regarding JA/RW's song Awaken. JD indicates that he became aware of spirituality, meditation and vegetarianism at the age of 18-19. Maybe he wasn't always clad in hippie clothes, but they suit him well. There are some Live clips in the article showing YES- and rock god Steve Howe- so we haven't veered too far off track of this thread's intention! biffbampop.com/2018/08/01/exclusive-interview-with-jon-davison-of-yes/

Got a lot of favorite guitarists. Mike Campbell of 'Good St. Tom and the Apostolic Heartbreakers' is one of them...
I have no idea who this chick below is, but damn...she did GOOD in this intro....

YES-related, Trevor Rabin really worked the Big Generator album over, then there was GTR w Steve Howe and Steve Hackett, the latter originally from the beginning-Genesis days.....
