The Birds and Other Stories - Daphne du Maurier
I picked this up a while back when we read The Birds for the discussion group. I'm reading the rest of it now and it's very good. The Birds is the only story in the book I was previously familiar with (because of the Hitchcock movie). Hitchcock adapted a couple other stories from Daphne du Marier (they are not in this book). She wasn't crazy about the movies because Hitchcock changed the stories so much but as far as The Birds goes, both the story and the movie are excellent even though they are different.

I dont know but i have a feeling she does not get the credit she deserves sometimes. Excellent writer, not just The Birds and Rebecca but several others too.

Well Never Mind lol font Tell me i Guess i Just Have to Read an Find Out. It's a group of travelers that travel around in Winnebagos or mobile camper vans (from what I remember as it was a long time ago that I read the book)
They collect 'steam' from young people and use it to keep themselves alive; so basically they are like vampires in that regard
That's what I remember anyway - hope this does not spoil anything for you
(Decided to insert a spoiler in case some have not started the book yet)

Finished "The Strain".
Don't read it if you've watched the series. It's fckng boring, if you know the show.

.....I guess Guillermo is just better suited to be doing film. 🙂
...was even Satrakian uninteresting to read about? ? ?💔...he was my first favorite character.

He was just as you know him from the series. Almost everybody was. There have been some marginal differences to the series.
