Outdoors: The Waste Lands (re-read) and Rose Madder. Indoors: The Strain. I'm going to want to hear about "The Strain" at sometime, somewhere on this board!😊 I'll write a review, wolfie.
The book has around 1300 pages....i'm 14 pages in.

(maybe sometime I'll start a thread about the FX series. But not too soon, really busy right now. That's what I've been rewatching during dinner, and falling asleep to these past few nights)

A young 25 year old friend of mine died 3 times in February. Once in the Emergency room, once in Intensive care and once in his hospital room. He had blood clots that went to his lungs. He said he remembered it was all black. There was no afterlife, no heaven. There was nothing. I imagine this doctor has written an opinion piece..... Sounds to me like your young friend is plenty tough, and it wasn't time for him to go. 😊He had good doctors and a big nurse named Vlad who saved him from bleeding out through his neck catheter.

The most recent book I started was called "Proof of Heaven"
It's by a neurosurgeon who underwent a dramatic illness and recovery
I've read nine chapters so far - it's an easy read and quite interesting
A young 25 year old friend of mine died 3 times in February. Once in the Emergency room, once in Intensive care and once in his hospital room. He had blood clots that went to his lungs. He said he remembered it was all black. There was no afterlife, no heaven. There was nothing. I imagine this doctor has written an opinion piece..... What happened to him was pretty profound, however he does mention other examples of NDEs (near death experiences)

Yikes! not Vlad the Impaler?
You know I am just joking - I HAD to say that ☺ Glad to hear your friend recovered

Reading American Creation by Joseph Ellis. About the American revolution and how and why it turned out the way it did. Also about the successes and failures of the founders. They were very different and had different views on a lot of things. Its interesting to get a bit closer to Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Madison, Hamilton, Franklin and the others. The story starts in 1775 and ends in 1803 with the Louisiana Purchase. Ellis is one of the most renowned specialists on that era in history.

Currently, I cannot read anything. This brain-fog has gone on to long. Time to head to the doctor.
