Sunday, March 24th 2019 1.) When was the last time you received an unexpected gift in the mail or found money on the ground? I got a $35 refund check in the mail from our eye doctor for a billing error last month2.) What was the last song you performed for karaoke night? (You can list the last song you sang along to in the car.) Last karaoke song: Burnin' Love / Car song: Alice in Chains: No Excuses (on the way home tonight)3.) Are you currently hooked on anything particular from the frozen food department? Shout out a brand name and feel free to explain.
Eggo Blueberry Waffles 4.) When was the last time your child (or niece or nephew) embarrassed you in public? Or vice versa. Can you believe it was actually our 27 year old who did it? Just back in January. We had a miscommunication about a family photo and she showed up and gave me the business in front of many of my friends and co-workers. It was so bad we had to reschedule the photo. She'll be 28 this year. It's all fine now, but I was mortified.5.) What was the last book you read that was a complete waste of time? I wish I could get back the week I spent reading The Wife Between Us - not such of a much, that book.6.) There is discussion about bringing back Frasier: yay or nay? Which sitcom would you like to see return? I loved Frasier in it's day, but I haven't been a fan of the re-boots: Rosanne, Will & Grace... I don't think I'd like to see Frasier - it had it's moment. What I'd like to see are the creators & writers of those show work their magic again and give us lovable, comical characters that we enjoy without being obscene or vulgar. So many sitcoms are so bad. I like my obscenity and vulgarity to be subtle.7.) If you were forced to give up all sugar tomorrow, what food or drink would you miss the most? Dark Chocolate Orange Almond bars from Aldi - there's five perfect little bars in there8.) Out of the Stephen King books that have not yet been adapted, which would you like to see adapted first? I'd like to see a well done adaption of The Eyes of the Dragon - it could be such a great movie9.) When was the last time you apologized to someone? Practically everyday for the little faux pas we all make. The last time I had apologize for my wretched ways was probably around Christmas. Always drama around Christmas.10.) What is your favorite game (cards, board games, charades) to play with friends or at parties? Pictionary!!
thank you doccreed !! I hope everyone else plays!! Where's your answers?

1.) When was the last time you received an unexpected gift in the mail or found money on the ground? Alexandra sent me some books and some gifts from Canada. She did give me a heads up that it was on the way but it was unexpected and had I not seen her message it would have been a total surprise.
2.) What was the last song you performed for karaoke night? (You can list the last song you sang along to in the car.)
Karaoke: "Just Another Day" by John Secada Car: I think it was an Adam Levine song.
3.) Are you currently hooked on anything particular from the frozen food department? Shout out a brand name and feel free to explain.
Not really. My sister gave me some chocolate and toffee dipped ice-cream bars last week that were good. I haven't had ice-cream in a while.
4.) When was the last time your child (or niece or nephew) embarrassed you in public? Or vice versa.
I embarrassed my sister at the post office. I asked the post office clerk to mail off my books and she pointed to a wall of envelopes and boxes. I said, "Isn't that your job?" and my sister tried to crawl under the counter. Maybe it's been a while but most post offices were more helpful, I thought. LOL
5.) What was the last book you read that was a complete waste of time?
The Street Lawyer by John Grisham. Paint-by-numbers story and mostly cookie cutter characters. It was okay.
6.) There is discussion about bringing back Frasier: yay or nay? Which sitcom would you like to see return?
I'd like to see the characters again, but I think we've seen enough reboots, probably. We need new shows, and I agree that we need less profanity and vulgarity. I was watching Netflix the other night and every show I clicked on was filled with F-bombs and C-bombs like it was nothing. I'm not a prude, but it's getting ridiculous and that's not how the majority of people speak. They should stop trying to normalize it.
7.) If you were forced to give up all sugar tomorrow, what food or drink would you miss the most?
Cherry Pepsi.
8.) Out of the Stephen King books that have not yet been adapted, which would you like to see adapted first?
Duma Key.
9.) When was the last time you apologized to someone?
To Morgan. She knows why.
10.) What is your favorite game (cards, board games, charades) to play with friends or at parties? Anything trivia related. I'm old school; I like Trivial Pursuit.

I've never went inside our Aldi's but when I do go I will look for those dark orange chocolate bars. Can you taste the almonds like you can with an Almond Joy? Dove makes excellent chocolates and I like the M&M minis candy bar, which has a similar rich and creamy taste.

2.) What was the last song you performed for karaoke night? (You can list the last song you sang along to in the car.)
'Ain't My Bitch' in the house. Hubby looked at me strange...

Breyers ice cream!!
4.) When was the last time your child (or niece or nephew) embarrassed you in public? Or vice versa.
My daughter in a restaurant, burped real loud.
5.) What was the last book you read that was a complete waste of time?
I don't remember.
6.) There is discussion about bringing back Frasier: yay or nay? Which sitcom would you like to see return?
Nay. I love Roseanne! The Conners just aren't the same without her.

Soda.
8.) Out of the Stephen King books that have not yet been adapted, which would you like to see adapted first?

1.) When was the last time you received an unexpected gift in the mail or found money on the ground? I don't think I've ever found money on the ground. I've received unexpected cards in the mail (which I love!) but the last unexpected gift was probably on my birthday two years ago. A beloved SKMB friend sent me five SK-related Funko Pop!s. I cried.
2.) What was the last song you performed for karaoke night? (You can list the last song you sang along to in the car.) Oh boy - the last (group) karaoke song was probably "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood at least eight years ago. I sing along to the radio all the time, but I've only been listening to inspirational stations for over two years now.
3.) Are you currently hooked on anything particular from the frozen food department? Shout out a brand name and feel free to explain. The last super delicious frozen food treat I had was hazelnut chocolate Coconut Bliss ice cream.
4.) When was the last time your child (or niece or nephew) embarrassed you in public? Or vice versa. About ten years ago, my oldest niece repeated something she must've heard me talking about with my mom. Shouldn't have been a big deal, but the lady she told it to, blew it way out of proportion.
5.) What was the last book you read that was a complete waste of time? Probably the Koontz book I'm reading now. (doccreed I thought The Street Lawyer was decent. Especially for Grisham!)
6.) There is discussion about bringing back Frasier: yay or nay? Which sitcom would you like to see return? I don't really have an opinion about this. I remember enjoying the episodes of Frasier I saw when it was airing. Tried to watch again years later and I wasn't into it. I'm fickle about TV. I loved Will & Grace, but the reboot was way too political IMHO. Would love to see Sex and the City redone again someday (as long as the actors/writers/costume designers are absolutely top-notch).
7.) If you were forced to give up all sugar tomorrow, what food or drink would you miss the most? I don't eat much sugar anymore. But since alcohol and carbs are converted into sugar in our bodies - red wine and bread!!!
8.) Out of the Stephen King books that have not yet been adapted, which would you like to see adapted first? I'm going to second the Duma Key vote. And better versions of Bag of Bones and UTD!!!
9.) When was the last time you apologized to someone? I apologize constantly, to the point that it annoys people. I am hyper sensitive about other people's feelings. The last time I was in the wrong and apologized was a couple weeks after I fractured my ribs. I accidentally blocked a driveway with the car (for about five minutes) because I couldn't walk from the street. And I shouldn't have been driving in the first place.
10.) What is your favorite game (cards, board games, charades) to play with friends or at parties? I'm going to second pegasus216 's vote for UNO - love it!!! I also love most board games.

4.) When was the last time your child (or niece or nephew) embarrassed you in public? Or vice versa.
I'm the parent of a 17 year old......I think I embarrass her daily.

Nothing recent comes to mind.
6.) There is discussion about bringing back Frasier: yay or nay? Which sitcom would you like to see return?

7.) If you were forced to give up all sugar tomorrow, what food or drink would you miss the most?
Sweet Tea

I had started this thread on the big board, but it fell by the wayside. I think we all had a great time with it - but when the board started closing more, it did get lost. And especially now that it's not open on the weekend board. Let's keep it going here! If no one has posted new questions by the time I read all the responses, I will.

Keep it going, Tet!! I need to know you better!
Sundrop I'm going to try that with the pretzels!
doccreed Go to Aldi - what are you waiting for? The cheese, the breads, the chocolate!! I wouldn't say it's a smooth melty chocolate - it's not like a Dove. It's dark, so it takes a minute. Right now my Aldi has Orange Chocolate Jaffa Cakes. YUM. I get all my dairy, baking goods and bread there. They have some unusual stuff you just can't find anywhere else.
Here's some questions for this week?
1. What is your favorite dessert?
2. Who was your childhood celebrity crush?
3. If you were a wrestler, what would be your entrance theme song?
4. You have your own late night show, who do you invite as your first guest?
5. When you die, what do you want to be remembered for?
6. What is your favorite item you bought this year?
7. Say you're independently wealthy and don't have to work: what do you do with your time?
8. What was the worst job you ever had?
9. What is your favorite place of all the places you've traveled?
10. What's the one thing we don't know about you?

1. What is your favorite dessert? Right now, ginger snap cookies.
2. Who was your childhood celebrity crush? Ralph Macchio. I watched The Karate Kid so many times that I had most of the movie memorized!
3. If you were a wrestler, what would be your entrance theme song? Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot. Bwahahahaha!
4. You have your own late night show, who do you invite as your first guest? Besides SK, Stevie Nicks.
5. When you die, what do you want to be remembered for? Kindness
6. What is your favorite item you bought this year? Since January - my little stuffed animal piggy, Penelope.
7. Say you're independently wealthy and don't have to work: what do you do with your time? I would definitely start my own charity and try to bless the heck out of good people! Especially those with financial need.
8. What was the worst job you ever had? Fast food and restaurant work. Retail's not fun either!
9. What is your favorite place of all the places you've traveled? Maine!! I've wanted to move there ever since, even though I was only in grade school when I spent the summer there.
10. What's the one thing we don't know about you? Gosh, a LOT! I'll answer anything asked, but am too shy to offer info sometimes. Maybe that's a good enough answer - many people here don't realize how shy I am IRL. Tons of social anxiety. All kinds of anxiety with a tendency toward OCD.
FUN! Great questions doccreed and hollygolightly!

morgan I'm thrilled you're answering questions!! Anything we ask you say?? Hmmm, I gotta do some thinking on that.
How funny - Ralph Macchio was one of mine too - mostly from The Outsiders. I think I was 13 or 14 though. And he was on Eight is Enough (if you're old enough to remember that!!)

Bitch (The Rolling Stones) 4. You have your own late night show, who do you invite as your first guest? Pete Best (The guy who was the drummer for The Beatles before he was replaced with Ringo just before they made it big, he’s still alive) Random people who played random aliens and Storm Troopers in various Star Wars films 5. When you die, what do you want to be remembered for? Discovering the secret to immortality 6. What is your favorite item you bought this year? Probably all the vinyls I’ve collected 7. Say you're independently wealthy and don't have to work: what do you do with your time? Traveling 8. What was the worst job you ever had? Highschool student in the late 2010’s 9. What is your favorite place of all the places you've traveled? Florida? I’ve only been out of country once and barely remember it (I was only 3, and it was only to Canada (sorry Canadians) and it was like right right next to the border, so it was barely out of country. I’d love to visit either Greece or Japan because of the history there. 10. What's the one thing we don't know about you? I don’t have an appendix (might’ve told this one). There’s also a lot of Asian Americans in my family (I myself am just white though).

1. What is your favorite dessert? Creme Brulee!
2. Who was your childhood celebrity crush? Donny Osmond
3. If you were a wrestler, what would be your entrance theme song? Crazy...Gnarles Barkley
4. You have your own late night show, who do you invite as your first guest? SK of course! aside from him, Tim Gunn
5. When you die, what do you want to be remembered for? Making a difference - in a good way
6. What is your favorite item you bought this year? These soy candles that smell like heaven and you can dip your fingers in the wax and use it as a really good lotion. Different smells, but I think Nirvana is my favorite.
7. Say you're independently wealthy and don't have to work: what do you do with your time? Thinking like morgan! I'd start some kind of outreach - something sustainable - and I'd work in plenty of reading and napping, plus some kayaking.
8. What was the worst job you ever had? I worked in a factory that made furniture - so many thugs and criminals worked there. Everyone had a drug problem and lots of experience with the law - my job was to zipper together the upholstery - the two sides. I placed the zipper peg into a holder and ran two sides of fabric through and zippered them together. Fascinating, huh? Eight hours a day, 5 days a week. I didn't last long.
9. What is your favorite place of all the places you've traveled? I like East Tennessee - it's breezy and cool in the mountains, there's something about it I loved - I cried when it was time to go home, and I love home. But I'd really love a home in Gatlinburg.
10. What's the one thing we don't know about you? That's hard - I tell you guys everything. Hmm, I think it's probably my personality flaw of internalizing. Everything is my fault. Every time something awful happens I will trace my thoughts and actions back to something I have said or done to make it my fault. It's insane. It's the last little bit of crazy left in me. I'm working on it.

Highschool student in the late 2000’s 9. I'm thrilled to know all of this about you! And I have to agree - being a high school student in these times must be very hard. I have 2 in high school now - it's so different from the 80s. Hang in there - it's just a moment in the entirety of your life. I can't wait until mine are done. I wished I'd homeschooled them.
