Dear friends - thanks for the laughs. I've missed you! I'm behind and needing some levity. You never disappoint! 1. Favorite (and least favorite) classical music piece. I like the Bach Cello Suites, so I made about 20 seconds of Suite 1 my ring tone - now I cringe when I hear it because I get so irritated when my cell phone rings. I like Beethoven very much, there's so much passion in that man's music. We named our youngest Elise for Fur Elise and the Cure's Letter to Elise.2. When was the last time you rode a horse? I'm not a fan - they terrify me. I admire their beauty and grace and loyalty, but their size scares me. I've ridden horses with my Girl Scout troop when I was a troop leader - once with our oldest and once with our youngest. The last time must have been in 2012. Aided with benzos, I faked my calm.
3. How much alone time do you need in a week? More than I get. My mornings are mine - 5:30am - 9am, and then again 9pm - 10pm when I fall asleep. I have an office at work, with a door that I can close when I need to focus. I like my own company. 4. It's that time again. Remind me of your favorite salad recipe. An everything salad: red leaf & green leaf lettuce, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, bacon, croutons, boiled eggs, blue cheese. Dressing: white balsamic vinegar, EVOO, salt, pepper, a little sugar - like morgan - I like to add berries sometimes, and nuts - chopped pistachios especially. 5. Who was the last person who gave you a pep talk? Did it help? Wasn't that you, doccreed ? "You is kind, you is smart....." 6. What's a fear you have conquered or want to conquer? I'd like to let go of fear altogether. More than anything: fear of all the things that can happen to my children - what is that exactly: fear of the unknown? fear of heartache?7. Here's five hundred bucks. You have to spend it now. What do you buy? A new garage door - our's is getting scary.
8. Name a writer or book you haven't read that you want to read this year? I'm getting excited by all the Michael Kortya buzz around here. I need to check him out!9. When was the last time you were in a physical altercation? The Ogre stomp I did back in January that jacked my bad knee up again. I did it to myself, but I was upstairs right above the Ogre's Lazy Boy that's downstairs and I was stomping the floor pretending it was his head. I was mad.10. Have you ever learned something about someone you wish you hadn't? OH heaven's yes - but I love everyone anyway - in spite of the details that are hard to speak of.

Weekly Survey: June, 2nd 2019 1. Have you ever lost your temper with a cashier? 2. It's almost summer...what's your favorite flavor crushed ice or frozen adult beverage? 3. If the Car Wash Police were looking for dirty cars and took yours into custody right now, would yours be guilty or innocent? 4. If you have children, have you designated godparents? 5. Who on the SKMB would you trust enough to adopt your pets should you die prematurely? LOL 6. Bill Burr said recently he took his daughter to see Dumbo and they both walked out early. What is the last movie you walked out on? (This may be a question I've asked before, but I'm interested in reading the answers again.) 7. To shorten your prison sentence would you ever participate in a Long Walk scenario, where the same rules apply except you'd only have to walk fifteen miles? 8. Drop Everything and Go For It Person or Deep Thinker and Plan-it-to-Death Person: Which are you? 9. What was your last scare with wild animals or nature? (Wasp's nest? Coyote? Snake?) 10. Do you have any funny wedding, funeral, or graduation stories? What the heck...tell us anything that'll make us laugh. Wild card. hollygolightly I just answered all these and then lost my answers! I'll try again later.

5. Who on the SKMB would you trust enough to adopt your pets should you die prematurely? Don't have any pets but if I did then it would be neesy or doowopgirl.
Oh my - you're the second one now - so what kind of pets are we talking here?
I don't mind and I thank you for trusting me - just wondering how much it would cost to ship an Irish wolfhound (just guessing) from Ireland to Canada
Neesy it would probably be cheaper to fly you over here to look after the wolfhound BhGrQfSejRVyTeGJUqvh

Hopping on to asking next weeks questions 1: If you could travel back to one year in history for a 1-2 week vacation, when would it be? 2: Who was your favorite childhood pet? 3: What was your most treasured material object as a child? 4: What is your favorite Dr. Suess book? 5: Who is your favorite Muppet? (Seseame Street characters included) 6: What is the best thing to come out of this decade? 7: What is a (non-political, non-religious) unpopular opinion you have? 8: What was the most romantic moment of your life? 9: What was your awkward first date experience? 10: Who is a non-musical artist (writer, director, etc.) that you would consider a “one-hit wonder” (doesn’t have to be an actual popular hit, just one you could only enjoy one work of). 1. America 1920s. 2. Rambo, our black and white Pekingese. It sneezed constantly and had one protuberant bottom tooth. 3. My bike, when I was nine. 4. I can't remember title but it has cacti on the cover. 5. Animal. 6. n/a 7. Tyler Perry is the worst writer working in television. (His Madea plays an exception.) 8. n/a 9. My girlfriend's mother kept watching us through windows and around corners. 10. I need to ponder this question...TBC.

Weekly Survey: June, 2nd 2019
1. Have you ever lost your temper with a cashier?
No.
2. It's almost summer...what's your favorite flavor crushed ice or frozen adult beverage?
I do not like Slushy type drinks. I would have a margarita, but only strawberry. Not lime. Blech. Daquiries are good too.
3. If the Car Wash Police were looking for dirty cars and took yours into custody right now, would yours be guilty or innocent?
Outside, mostly innocent. Inside, guilty. It is not my mess though, my teen drove my car for a while and it is all his mess. I refuse to clean it for him. Sounds like a good job for tomorrow. 😉
4. If you have children, have you designated godparents?
No godparents but we do have someone designated to be their guardian if something were to happen to both of us.
5. Who on the SKMB would you trust enough to adopt your pets should you die prematurely? LOL
Spidey, Morgan, Doyou and Sunny
6. Bill Burr said recently he took his daughter to see Dumbo and they both walked out early. What is the last movie you walked out on? (This may be a question I've asked before, but I'm interested in reading the answers again.)
I've never walked out of a movie. Don't go very often so usually it is something I really want to see.
7. To shorten your prison sentence would you ever participate in a Long Walk scenario, where the same rules apply except you'd only have to walk fifteen miles?
Not me.
8. Drop Everything and Go For It Person or Deep Thinker and Plan-it-to-Death Person: Which are you?
Plan it to death. And then second guess, third guess, etc and plan some more.
9. What was your last scare with wild animals or nature? (Wasp's nest? Coyote? Snake?)
I can't think of any. Hubby ran into a bear once while hunting. Startled the bear as much as it did Scott and they just stared at each other and then the bear turned and ran off.
10. (Somehow my copy/paste left this question off but the funny funeral/wedding story)
Can't think of any.

I don't think I have ever seen this one before

Hopping on to asking next weeks questions 1: If you could travel back to one year in history for a 1-2 week vacation, when would it be?------back to '77 or '79 with my son, he wants to go there because he's in love with the movie Dazed and Confused. He wants a flux capacitor for X-Mas! 2: Who was your favorite childhood pet?------- a Maine Coon female that was one year older than me, she used to beat up and chase off all the trouble making unfixed males in the neighborhood. My mother had named her Puppy for some crazy good reason. 3: What was your most treasured material object as a child?------a particularly beautiful model horse. A dapple gray Arabian. I don't have it anymore, but i know where it is. My sun has it. 4: What is your favorite Dr. Suess book?-------- "Your Complete Suess -a bakers dozen." 5: Who is your favorite Muppet? (Seseame Street characters included)-------Animal of course, but sure did like Zute the sax player. 6: What is the best thing to come out of this decade?--------It's Happening! XD! 7: What is a (non-political, non-religious) unpopular opinion you have?-------- I don't know about where you live, but I love ants and I feed them and let them come and go as they please. We just stay out of each others pathways. When we're cooking and eating outside (which is OFTEN) I always put alittle bit of food out for them if I see any ant piles or hills around. That way they don't come get on the patio looking to get food. They're just good industrious little creatures and I think they're pretty. 8: What was the most romantic moment of your life?------Borrowing the words of Maximus Decimus Meridius : "Thats not your business." 9: What was your awkward first date experience?--------Oooooo.....tough one but I'll tell it. Out picnicking and he fell asleep leaning back against the tree we had camped out under. He was pretending to be asleep and caught me lightly tracing the long firm line of his handsome jaw with my finger. Now THAT was embarrassing. 10: Who is a non-musical artist (writer, director, etc.) that you would consider a “one-hit wonder” (doesn’t have to be an actual popular hit, just one you could only enjoy one work of).-------- Don't remember! It was ever so forgettable! This is a way cool thread, Hey wayofthepanda. How you doin' kiddo?

1.) When was the last time you received an unexpected gift in the mail or found money on the ground? ----- It's coming any day now.
2.) What was the last song you performed for karaoke night? (You can list the last song you sang along to in the car.) ----- Car: "With or without you" -U2- able to sing that one well, except the really high parts at the end. At home, singing to youtube: Many, but "Glycerine" - Bush - really well. I can only sing along by ear with certain songs. Suns music teacher told me I was a contralto, whatever that is lol. My gran was the musician and singer.
3.) Are you currently hooked on anything particular from the frozen food department? Shout out a brand name and feel free to explain. ----- "Forrests and Jennies" no particular brand.
4.) When was the last time your child (or niece or nephew) embarrassed you in public? Or vice versa. ------ My SUN! ( my sun, my son, the light of my life ) He was 11 and had me chasing him through all the grocery store aisles. NOT a good time to be playing catch me if you can with mom. sigh......HE thought it was funny as hell.
5.) What was the last book you read that was a complete waste of time? ------ One that is not polite or socially acceptable to mention in the company of the general public. It is a fairly popular "reference" tome.
6.) There is discussion about bringing back Frasier: yay or nay? Which sitcom would you like to see return? -----yeah, why not. Maybe they might get lucky and recapture then original magic.
7.) If you were forced to give up all sugar tomorrow, what food or drink would you miss the most? ----- Coca- Cola!
8.) Out of the Stephen King books that have not yet been adapted, which would you like to see adapted first? ------ "Lisey's Story" or "Duma Key", torn on this one.
9.) When was the last time you apologized to someone? ------ probably sometime today. As Angie famously said to James in "Wanted" : "You apologize too much." ........so they tell me.
10.) What is your favorite game (cards, board games, charades) to play with friends or at parties? ------- Spades! with a good compatible partner, and Scrabble.

Oh yeah! Should have clarified on 5.) ".....Not the 'Kama Sutra' or its ilk, a "reference tome" more like quite the opposite of that. lol

"Okay, I got a something rather brief, but could be pretty cool and fun. This is a question that came up one holiday at a fine Tex-Mex restaurant amongst a bunch of my co-workers and myself.
1.) "If you could only eat and drink only one thing for all of eternity, and never get tired of it, what would it be?"
Okay, now I'll start so you get the idea and see what be allowed. For me I said it would be:
" Tortilla Chips and Salsa, and Margaritas."
Keep in mind i thought about it first. Margaritas have water, lime juice, alittle sugar and of course Tequila. Those things can be had in different amounts in one glass. I NEVER said it had to be a PERFECT Margarita! So theres some loophole op's going on here too. And chips and salsa are something that just naturally go together. It can count as 1 thing to eat.(plus I know hundreds of ways to make salsa! even with recipes that incorporate MEAT! yar! XD! ......sorry Morgan! I mentioned meat in salsa/hotsauce. ) So if you were to choose a specific sandwich, say P,B&J or BLT. you're okay. No grade or judgement here at all.
If anyone wants to come and change this and make it better or more challenging, please do so! I'm not all that good at stuff like this. See I only have one question, lol. This is just something that was entertaining at a party once.

1.) "If you could only eat and drink only one thing for all of eternity, and never get tired of it, what would it be?"
Definitely Chinese food. Buffet or, if limited to one thing, I'd pick something basic like sesame chicken and fried rice. Sweet tea.

Excellent choices! I know for Gran was HOT good tea, never watered down or cooled. With Soda bread and butter. She took it VERY seriously when I told her about it all when I came home. And of course she said it was too easy and that we cheated! lol
