This must be like yawning (it's contagious?) I have potatoes, eggs, mayo, celery etc. but no green onions - I like mine with lots of paprika on top for a garnish (that's how my Mom used to make it).
I think that's why I don't like traditional potato salad - I don't like eggs or celery. I need to just modify a recipe and give it a try sometime! (Isn't paprika used to garnish deviled eggs as well? That's probably yummy in potato salad.) My Mom used to sprinkle it on top very liberally as a garnish - some trick she learned once while working in food service I think.
Turns out that stuff is actually quite good for you!

I never use it. Going to try to sprinkle some on something - not sure what though. (With all those health benefits, I should be bathing in it!! Lol) Think I convinced myself years ago that I didn't like it because it's in Miracle Whip and I can't stand that stuff.

I Googled Rorschach Test and all I got were pictures of my parents fighting.

I don't mind a lil paprika. My mom's beau always says "pap-a-reeeka". He's a fun guy. Good cook, that Don. I read some good advise - cracked me up: - If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
- It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.
Ha - I failed graphics here. I need to go to bed.
Peace be with you!

One of the many fun things that go along with my kidney disease is itching. It started about a week ago, and it is driving me nuts!
They gave me a powder for it, and some pills, but I am still scratching like crazy!
I got some of that Gold Bond medicated powder, and that has helped more than any thing so far.

When I drove across the bridge and over the river today, I was thinking about being young and hanging out on the sandbar. My mind wandered to a time long ago when I went to the river with a very popular girl who was a senior in high school when I was a sophomore. I remembered her cool, red car and stopping at McDonald's for orange juice. She was the Homecoming Queen and seemed perfect in every way. I ended up hanging out with her younger sister the last couple years of H.S.
She moved away after H.S. and I never saw her again. She married a wealthy, smooth-talking creep and had two children. She died when she was 30 and her husband was found guilty of second degree murder and was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
I knew there was a 48 Hours episode about her death, but could never find it. Went searching again today and found the episode on YouTube. I knew her so long ago, but it was still very difficult to watch. Heart wrenching to watch her parents interviewed - remembering all the times spent at their house. Hard to see her sister (my H.S. BFF) sitting in the courtroom and the small children left without a mother.

SK recommended the movie Calibre (2018) on Twitter. I guess it's on Netflix. IMDb gave it a 6.7/10. Hope to watch it this week sometime.

morganOh my God that's awful. That poor woman and her children. I don't understand people. There's nothing wrong with divorce. Speak your peace and walk away. So very sad.

Oh honey - that's awful. Is it the kind of itch that benedryl won't fix? Does scratching help? I always keep a backscratcher handy. I hate to itch! You poor gal! How about an oatmeal bath soak?

It's a good thing I moved back home. Greyhound Canada ended its service in all but 2 provinces. I used to take it at least 4 times a year to visit my family when I lived down south. Like those junior hockey players, I have a lot of memories of riding the bus. It's like the end of an era.

From what I've read at various media outlets, Greyhound asked the federal government for money, but the government said no. So the cancellation of service in all but 2 provinces is actually Trudeau's fault.

Holly, they gave me some pills that are like Benadryl, but it only helps for a short while. I am not itching as bad as I was now though. I actually have 2 back scratchers, and they have been put through hell lately!

I'm thinking back to 2008 when that poor guy was stabbed, beheaded and cannibalized on a Greyhound bus - don't imagine that was very good PR for the company. Hopefully other companies can help out and come forward to provide some services.
I took a bus down to Windsor Ontario when I was 19. That was a LONG trip. It's hard to sleep on those seats but somehow I curled up and managed it.
