OK this is a regional thing and Sunny might could speak to it better... On TV I HATE when people try to pronounce Appalachian State University or the same with the mountains... The third A is soft people!!! Unless used as a verb as in AppalAchia… Please forward this as it weighs on me daily... Yes, I've had to give many pronunciation lessons on Appalachian...... If you can say the words, Apple At Chin.....put it all together, and there ya go! We take the pronunciation from the mountains that the Native Americans in the region called Appalachee. There is no long 'A' sound in it. Learn it, love it, speak it. I've always said it correctly but not because I knew better (didn't know for sure until about fifteen years ago) but because I liked how it sounded.

I treated myself to a present this year!!
I am getting a bread maker! Should be here Wednesday. Can't wait to have hot, fresh bread again!
I had a machine years ago, and my mother loved it so much that I gave it to her. She has a ball making all kinds of bread, and dough for rolls, and stuff.
I saw that with the one I'm getting, I can make jam in it! I see a lot of strawberry jam in my future!
Karen can't wait to make sourdough bread! I used to make a honey-oatmeal bread that was so delicious!

I'm sure Neesy can attest to how efficient these machines are. Honey-oatmeal bread sounds delicious.

Say whatever you want about James Patterson. You can't deny that the man is prolific. He's also the most generous person in modern literature. His foundation provides scholarships to 22 different universities. He also donates millions to school libraries and bookstores. He has helped or promoted more aspiring writers than any other living author. If you're looking for someone to jump start your writing career, then Patterson is the man you need, not Stephen King.

Patterson has used his wealth and celebrity to help others; that's admirable. It doesn't change the fact that he's a crappy writer. Stephen King out performs him in quality. Being prolific is meaningless if all a writer produces is mediocre rubbish. Furthermore, I wouldn’t want for another writer to "jumpstart" my writing career; I think it should succeed by its own merits.

I used to make a honey-oatmeal bread that was so delicious! This is so cool! That is how I make my bread too. Actually I prefer to take the dough out after it's mixed up and finish it off by hand.
You can knead it yourself if you like but the bread maker does a pretty good job of that. I also like to scrape down the sides of the pan using a rubber spatula to help it mix up better.
Mine is an Oster that I've had quite a few years.
I have another one that was given to my parents by my brother but they never used it. I inherited that one after Mom passed away.
Let us know how it all turns out - sounds like you'll get a lot of use out of it! f070

It's great that Mr. Patterson is so generous. Stephen King is also quite generous in giving to charities. I guess we can agree to disagree about your final sentence. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
How's everything going for you? Have you done any Christmas preparations yet (if you celebrate?) I'm afraid we don't even have our tree up yet!

I’m not a James Patterson fan in anyways, but I feel Stephen King is more generous towards aspiring directors with dollar babies. It’s cool that James Patterson does that though.

Mr friend, Keith Longhorn, just put up a message on FB about his dogs missing. They are 2 pit bulls that are spoiled to no end, and just love people.
I don't know the details of how they got lost, but I hope someone takes them back to him. He is beyond devastated.
