nomik morgan
I will try it then. I make banana bread about 4 times a year. I wish I could afford to make fruit smoothies in the morning with all the healthy stuff added. Those Naked juices are delicious but have too much sugar.

zucchini bread is delicious; it tastes sort of sweet. I had feta and olive salad and shepherd's pie. I had a Greek salad from Panera last night.

This is what I do with fresh scallops! They are dipped in egg and panko, then sauteed in butter with lemon. (salt, pepper, and mashed potatoes) Attachment Deleted

We had burgers on the frill today. I like how Karen makes the burgers with Worcestershire sauce mixed in it. Makes them real juicy. Along with the burgers, we had French fries, and baked beans, and zucchini with mozzarella cheese on top. Delicious!

I made meatloaf with dry beans (pintos) and cornbread. Mashed potatoes and corn, too.

Crumbly, yes, but not dry. The oil and buttermilk keep it moist if I don't leave it too long in the oven. Cornbread and a pot of beans is a staple here on Sundays. What are you making?
(My sister is coming in an hour so I was trying to have it ready. Tsk tsk, these folks, no respect. LOL.)

Your sister is lucky you are cooking for her. I'm sure everything will be delicious.
It's too hot to use the oven (and my mom's doesn't work anyway - bright side, I've recently learned how to use a toaster oven LOL). It will be pretty darn boring around here. Either avocado and bagel, tofurky sandwich or a bean taco salad. Heck, I'm lucky there are any choices at all since I refuse to grocery shop on the weekends!

f010 Hey, those things are great. I like to make little frozen pizzas with it. Ya know, the french bread style. Not bad.

I'm making simple beef gravy meatballs with Mrs. Schubert's yeast rolls. I make little sandwiches and eat them with potato chips. Last week I did the same thing but used spaghetti sauce. The meatballs are ground beef, eggs, minced onion, minced bell pepper, crushed Ritz crackers. I'm even thinking about trying it in crockpot with BBQ sauce and jelly. You probably already know this but when you do these in a crockpot put all the ingredients, except meatballs, in it first. turn on low and let them melt together, give it a stir then add meatballs. Otherwise I find the ingredients are lumpy around the meatballs. Just a tip, hope you don't mind.

Someone should write a song titled "Two Chalupas and a Beer."
I luvs ya, Sigs - even though you like lard in your tortillas! Lolol
Dos chalupas y una cerveza! Si! Lard in the tortilla dough and real butter in the cooked tortilla. morgan , are you going to watch OITNB? I agree with you about using lard and butter. The 2 best ingredients for pastry (lard) and baking (butter) I think.

These are the peanut butter cheesecake bars I made, morgan. They were creamy, sweet and salty. That's Ritz crackers on top.
