The Wandering Earth.
When the sun dies out, the people of Earth build giant thrusters to move the planet out of orbit and sail to a new star system. After 2,500 years, young people continue the fight for everyone's survival.
Bombastic SCIFI from China. It's an Action/Popcorn SCIFI Movie. They totally went over the top, covering all the disaster movie cliches.
If you like your Popcorn with an SCIFI Movie....here ya go. Sounds intriguing c010 c010
I saw this one last night - Andy thought it wasn't too bad - about aging senior citizens, some who have lost their spouses. You know what? If I posted this somewhere else just put it down to me having a "senior moment"

Violent City (1970) Charles Bronson
There are a few old Charles Bronson movies on Amazon Prime now. I had never heard of this one but it's a good action movie. In the early 70s, Bronson made a few films in Europe and this is one of them.
Cold Sweat (1970) Charles Bronson
Another European Bronson movie. Not bad but not as good as Violent City.
Borderline (1980) Charles Bronson
A very good movie about a border patrol agent looking for the killer of one of his fellow agents.

Tenet.
A secret agent is given a single word as his weapon and sent to prevent the onset of World War III. He must travel through time and bend the laws of nature in order to be successful in his mission.
c029
Big, bold, baffling and bonkers. The plot is complex, difficult to follow and you'll scratch your head sometimes. The action is spectacular and the cast is excellent.
It's a Masterpiece.

It's a Masterpiece. I love Chris Nolan movies but sometimes they require multiple viewings.
I have the 4K disc of Tenet and haven't watched it yet. I've been waiting until I can give it my full attention with no interruptions.

It's a Masterpiece. Christopher Nolan spends too much time constructing some uber complex gimmick to his films that he forgets to make the actual movie entertaining first these days. Considering he made The Dark Knight, a masterpiece, it’s dissapointing what his latest films have been. But that’s just me talking

I will probably see this but i have seen Interstellar, Inception and Dunkirk and disliked all of them. He is interesting, talented but lately always get caught in his own view of grandeur. That have affected his movies which suffer from the trying-to-be-to-clever-for-its-own-good syndrome. Never a good thing!

Yes, he made very complex movies (Interstellar/Tenet), you have to watch them twice, but I don't think it was his Intention to entertain you.
Good SciFi make you think (talk) about a subject, even if u don't like it.

The 'father' characters....and the complexity of the events in both the tales.

Good SciFi make you think (talk) about a subject, even if u don't like it.I highly disagree, a movie being complicated or requiring multiple watches to understand is fine and can be done really well, but that is not an excuse for it being boring. The Lighthouse, Blade Runner, In the Mouth of Madness, Perfect Blue are all examples of movies that are complex or surreal and require a lot of reflection and subjective interpretation to wrap your head around, but manage to keep you hooked regardless because of the strong writing, acting, cinematography, etc. Tenet and Inception, however, just feel like boring and very terribly written movies that just try to hide how bad they are under a "you just don't understand it" excuse, in my honest opinion.

He comes up with overblown, convoluted films so that the critics will praise him, call him a genius.
