Frank, you remember how, in the last season of Strange New Worlds, it was No. 1 who knew that La'an really liked Kirk? I wonder if she knew that she liked Kirk because she also had a crush on Pike, which is referenced to in 'The Cage'?

Hmm.  I hope at some point SNW will introduce Yeoman Colt as well.
Sometimes their castings are incredible (the lady who plays Chapel), but then some of them aren't that great. So, let's hope it's a great casting for Colt. |

I would be surprised if no. 1 and Pike do get together. Pike's her captain ... and I don't think Starfleet would be happy with them having a relationship. Plus, there's no mention of Pike and no. 1 having a previous relationship in 'The Cage', which would cause canon issues ...

Also, they should be using Jeffery Hunter, not Anson Mount, as their representation of Pike.

Some aspects of Kirk's character, like his tendency to romance extraterrestrial women, may be somewhat outdated by today's standards, but he nevertheless remains compelling.
Romancing is outdated? Well ... the author is right there.
