It's looking like I'm going to get dead centered by the storm. But, the winds are not too bad and it's moving pretty fast so it should be in and out of here quickly. We are supposed to have 30mph winds and rain today and then things will get a little worse when the center of the storm makes landfall tonight about 1am. (these always seem to hit us in the middle of the night for some reason) Things don't sound too bad with this storm but there is always a bit of concern with the possibility of a few tornadoes from storms like this.

Stay safe wireman. System going to head right for the Tampa Bay area too. Should get winds up to 40mph+, gusts higher. 2+ inches rain. Wind field on Nicole is huge-saying over 400miles.
The last hurricane to make landfall in the month of November was Hurricane Kate, when the storm hit the Florida panhandle on Nov. 21, 1985 as a Category 2 hurricane. Kate came ashore near Mexico Beach, Florida with winds of 100 mph.

The storm made landfall North of me in Vero last night so I didn't get anything but some rain and moderately strong winds. Haven't heard yet how the folks North of me made out but I slept through whatever we had and it wasn't bad enough to wake me up. The ditches are full of water this morning.
