Today I learned that if you imitate the voice of an old lady, the scammers calling about your Visa card will get quite excited lol
Even after I hung up (after saying "Wow" when they asked for my Visa number) they then called me back and asked why I hung up

Oh, what a cool thread! I'm always learning unusual things.
For example: Did y'all know that "I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock of Seagulls is actually about alien abduction? I actually learned this a couple of weeks ago, but if you look at a lyric sheet it's true!

If you hit the glass bottle of Heinz Ketchup on the “57” (not the bottom) you get the ketchup to flow.

I've found that this works,
while the cap is on,
turn the bottle upside down
and shake it downward a couple of times.
Then open it, holding it horizontally. |

I was trying to make my voice sound like an elderly lady (lol)
Guess it worked for a while until I said Wow in my normal voice - when they called back and said "Why did you hang up Ma'am?" I said "How stupid do you think I am - find another sucker!"
I must be bored to be doing something like this

When you get old, your height reduces by about half an inch. I know! When I was last at the doctor they measured my height at half an inch less than normal
I also heard that if you measure your height as soon as you get out of bed you'll be taller i.e. your spine compresses as the day wears on (not sure if this is true or not)
I am retired now but trying to stay active and stimulate my mind (don't want to end up like my dear old Dad who had Alzheimer's disease
I found this poem online which I think is very touching  |
