I think it is a beneficial relationship that is good for the environ.
A wolf can eat up to 30 pounds of meat in one sitting.
(and after a feed like that is good to go for up to 3 days about)
Even after the entire pack is fed, and the hunters themselves have had their fill,
you know there is still meat left.
The ravens and other creatures come clean up what may be be too spoiled for the wolves.
I think it's possible.
I need to make time to read the whole article again.

Actually it was a couple days ago that I learned this.
Scotland has Oreo cows. 
These cows were the photo on the bing homepage the other day. They are called Belted Galloway cows.
