Good Sunday Morning from here, gentlemen. 😄
So glad to see you both, Dio and Grin! applouse
As I told edwardjohn last night,
well be getting started very soon.
(Hey Edders, hope you're having a good Sunday 🙂)
We are finishing up the recruiting and 'sign up'
this week in the public thread on the main board.
(I am hoping that we will get at least a couple of more
writers, and at least one NEW blood/virgin to the project.)
And also working on getting all our writers in here
and settled comfortably in this hidden thread!😊
TODAY,
I am going to come up with our list of GOALS.
1. on that list shall be 'Theme'...
What do we want our story to be about this year?
Last year everyone decided on, and we did the
"Ghost Story/Haunted House" thing,
so that particular type of tale won't be on the table this year.
I think I remember Kurbie and Edders
suggesting 'a werewolf story' last year.
There is one idea/suggestion to help kick start things off.
If you guys that are already here,
would like to start kicking around some ideas/making suggestions
that is perfectly cool!
Go for it!....and I will be back checking in with you all as soon as I can. 😊

on the things we come up with for our theme.
I'm almost done with that goals list,

"Here is......
Our List Of GOALS :
1. Establish 'Theme'.
What IS this beautiful beast of a horror story,
that we will create, going to be about!?😊
(Everyone can definitely be brainstorming on THAT right here and now!)
2. All decide upon 1st, 2nd or 3rd Person.
3. Establish the simple rules that we will need.
Examples :
Setting the word count. Right now we are sticking with the usual 1,200 words for 1st and Last Chapters, and 750 words for the inbetween chapters.
Maintaining proper continuity.
(Within reason! Everyone is allowed to bring surprises and be CREATIVE!😊)
Being aware of, and having a proper "Beginning", "Middle" and "End".
Being considerate of the fellow writers following you.
Being careful with any introduction of new characters towards the "wrapping up" and "END" (around the last few chapters) of the story.
AGAIN, surprises are good! Be creative and spontaneous!
BUT also considerate and fairly logical about these things.
I WILL work with and help everyone out, should they need it, and as they need it.
Be happy, funny (if you so choose to be), wild and creative!
But NO "Stupid Maverick" or "Running Amokedness Dr. Jekyll's Mr. Hyde Style".
Be mindful of our boards rules and PG rating.
But also remember that GORE is acceptable and encouraged!
Be mindful (the best you can) of your word count,
and when your chapter is due,
and please have it done on time.
Submitting it to me in a PM for reading and editing. 🙂
4. Establishing the writers order.
(Around this time we will talk about our BACK UP PLANS if anyone has an emergency and has to bow out. I'll ask for volunteers from the writing pool willing to help out and be drawn, if anything like that should happen)
We will need volunteers for: 1st and Last Chapters.
(If anyone says they are willing to be put wherever they are needed, then they will included in the draw for these two chapters, UNLESS they tell me OTHERWISE.)
With that done, all other writer's shall be drawn at random to work the inbetween chapters.
5. Set the schedules!
(Now this stage,
I am going to get right on as soon as we know how many writers we finally have, after sign up.)
Examples :
Writing order.
Establish how long each writer has to complete their chapter.
When we begin all of the writing, and when we finish it.
And of course, when the publishing on the main public board will be.
Alright!...That is "Our List of Goals" (for now)!
We will cross things off of it as we get them done!
And we can add or tweak what I have written here, as we need to.
Everyone's opinion counts and is wanted and welcome!
But please remember the coordinator/Editor(Editrix)/Ramrod has the FINAL say.🙂
For all my usual posts,
I'll go ahead and use my usual "Wolf Eyes GREEN" font color.
For any lists or other updates/important announcements
I will use the "Halloween Honeycomb Hideout ORANGE".
....so the information will be easier to find, refer to, and bring up to our current pages if, when and as necessary. 🙂

I'd definitely be okay with a werewolf story. If so, I suggest we go old school. I mean really old school. Anything after 'An American Werewolf in London' never happened! No Taylor Lautner in Twilight ... & no ....

Me... I’ve got to think more into a theme. So just throwing a couple ideas that came to me. (Or just more of that verbal diarrhea I’m known for?  )
Monster- Horror:
A child's imaginary friend comes to life on his/her 35th birthday and is intent on destroying everything near and dear to him/her for stopping in believing in the imaginary friend.
Fantasy:
A woman/man wakes up in somebody else's body every morning in a different location. Live that way forever or find a way to stop it?
SciFi adventure:
A desperate man/woman with nothing to live for finds a tin behind a wall. Inside the tin is a key and a note saying the door leads to all things possible every time it is opened, but you only have 8 hours to return or you are stuck there forever. Taking the key in their hand a door suddenly appears...
Armageddon:
The sun goes dark, all life on earth will end in a couple short weeks. Nothing can be done and the majority of people have already ended their lives rather than stick it out to the end, except for the main character who commits to enduring to the bitter end.

I'm making a list of all these suggestions!
Werewolves...old school could very easily be eased up into new or newer during the story line.
(time shift to descendants or something like that...or maybe? a really old werewolf! He has been around and some might could bring him into present day!
If that might be what everyone chooses to go with.
Just brainstorming and kicking around ideas! @woowoo001
edwardjohn , when it comes to "Other Monsters/a variety of Monster"...what kind of setting?
A graveyard thing perhaps?😊
diobolic ! LOVE your ideas too! Those are great and I'm putting them on the list too!
Guys when we get more people in here, and bringing their own preference we'll all take a look at it.
I'm mostly thinking out loud right now.

...A werewolf that has been around a LONG time...remembers back to his lost love,
and manages to go back somehow (maybe uses Dio the diobolic 's Tin box with the key and that DOOR!) and get her!
Turns her into werewolf too and the future is so bright, they gotta wear shades! 😄😎
